I seem to remember pieces like that being added to armor via "armor addons" You got the base armor form with a spot for add ons which is kind of a form list set of other stuff to wear when the armor is worn. At least from what little I've used it, setting up armor add on's is more easy in FNV edit. Then if the armor already uses add ons which most do, it would just mean making a new add on list based on the original, but as a new entry. Basically find the add on name, copy as new entry, type or paste in the back pack to the set. Then set the armor to use the new add on. Biped Model List in the armor form.

the issue has been rendered mute as the mod is now fixed.

But it's not the add on that was at fault.

It was missing data removed by a program used.

Some times things just get broken.

Want to clarify what I did and what the issue was/is without having Kitty's fixed esp.

I extracted the teslapowerarmor, tesla backpack, fxtelsa from FNV. The Textures as well except the normals. I retextured the nifs (left the normals as default), tweaked emissive colors in the backpack/fxtesla nifs, placed the modified versions in a custom creatures folder in the creatures meshes folder. meshes\creatures\DGcreatures\EnclaveHusk. The texture paths are in custom folders as well textures\armor\DGEnclaveArmor\.

I have extracted the needed skeleton and anims and placed in the enclavehusk folder (removed unneeded sneaks, jumps, idles, etc,.).

In Geck I created the creature DGEnclaveHusk02 and selected the modellist and added the armor, helm, backpack, glovesL & R, and fxtesla. Everything looks great in Geck.

But after archiving and launching the game it would crash. No other mods in my load order just vanilla ESMs and mine. When I removed the backpack it would launch no problems.

So yeah the working esp from Kitty works still not sure what she did XD but I am nervous as all get out about trying to work more on this I don't want to pester her to fix it every time I adjust something. Second I don't want to make it impossible to play for others if I end up releasing it.

Thanks,

Geoff

Don't worry about it. It's a very rewarding feeling to make something an send it to someone an have it fix a problem. I don't see a problem in releasing a mod that someone else gave us content to fix an issue. Though in the past, I've seen mention to person x for fixing something. Giveaways carry the permission with them. If you wana know what was wrong, ask Kitty? Then we're all friends, so I'm pretty sure Nexus wants us to pester each other to death.

It's just a thought, but you might want to uninstall your mod an install 100 or so other mods with 5-20 new mods per week. For one thing you'll get to play modded. Then whatever you are making will go on a diet because it doesn't have to do everything. You can get a vast amount to look at an learn from. It might help to separate mindsets between test play an actual play. See if you can reconnect to how we used to play games. Make backups. :D
