DAModder has stopped working

I posted this under the tech section a few days ago, but thought I'd post it here (where it should have been in the first place, I think!). Still haven't been able to resolve this issue--has anyone else had this problem?

I've been using this mod since I first installed DAO and love it--but all of a sudden, it's stopped working. I've checked the Bioware folders, and the exe file has disappeared--the only DAModder folders I can find is one in the DAO settings folder and it's a notepad with this as the top line: " <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes" ?> and there's another DAModder folder in My Documents folder (separate from the Bioware folder) that has a temp folder and back up folder in it.

Is there anyway to fix this? I don't have enough know how on how to uninstall DAModder before trying to reinstall it.

Any help would be vastly appreciated!

(Well, I don't use DAM myself, I use DAMM. But if DAM is like DAMM, then...) It really isn't "installed", in the sense of an ordinary Windows installation. It's just an executable that's put in a folder somewhere. Just download a fresh copy (to make sure you have the latest version and a clean copy) then uncompress it and put it back. I give mine its own folder in my "\packages\core" folder, one above "\override".

Thanks for your reply! I use DAMod Manager myself in addition to DAM (for installing override folders like Natural Bodies), and I like both of them. What I like most about DAM it lists entirely everything you've installed not just DAZip and override files and it makes uninstalling mods a breeze.

I tried intially to reinstall DAM (after downloading the latest copy) using it's exe file, but it was no go. So I'll try what you suggested (when I'm feeling brave:D) and see what happens. Thanks again for the help!

I did as was suggested and it still wouldn't work--however, I just saw a comment by Doldrik at the DAModder page where he had to delete the DAModder back up/temp folder which was in the My Documents folder and it started working. So I did that, too, and voila! it is now working fine.

Thanks, and thank you for being so attentive when these issues come up! Apparently, there's something about that separate back up/temp folder that some operating systems don't like (I'm running on Win 7), but now that the problems fixed, I'm happy. Have a good weekend!
