DaemonGrin
Working on my mod I noticed while making playable versions of my enclave armors that the tesla armor FXtesla is not an Armor Addon but a piece of armor itself. Why is it an armor instead of an addon, if anyone knows? Thanks,Geoff
KimberJ
I didn't see a FXtesla in FNV, is that the editor id? I only found ArmorTeslaPowerFX which is an add on, an the FX part in the name for both suggests it's the special effects.
DaemonGrin
It's called ArmorTeslaPowerFX and its an Armor. It has enclave armor enchantment, weight, repair list biped model list etc. The Biped model is FXtesla which is the electricalarcs that encompass the body. The only tesla addon I have (excluding the remnant gloves) is PowerArmorTeslaBackPack. This is just fallout.esm loaded up in geck. I'm being literal I know the armor fxtelsa is placed as bodyaddon1 but it's object is labeled as armor instead of being in the addon category. In the biped model list ArmorPowerTeslaList the fx is an ARMO not ARMA so was curious why they placed it as an armor item instead of armor addon. KimberJ
The stuff listed in add on's are just meshes, the stuff listed in armor gets the armor form ID, thus giving it the slot, so the character wears the armor, it defers to the biped list, picks up on ArmorTeslaPowerFX, an applies that effect in the slot it's set for. I'm guessing for functionality purposes.

The funny thing is though that the actual Tesla armor has the biped list which the armor fx is listed in as well seems redundant and possibly conflicting for the armor and the armorfx to both have a biped model list both calling on the r and l gloves. Not to mention the fx has a weight of 45 as does the armor thats 90 together though I've never seen the extra 45 applied. Possibly because the fx isn't playable? no clue just weirdness to me XD. KimberJ
The other day I saw a NPC with 160 as a stat for charisma. I was going to fix it, but the NPC talked me out of it.
