ManehattanProject
So one of the biggest things I want to do in GoE is to make the classic finale slideshow. I've read through the scripts and they indicate that while they show as just "Slides" they're actually Bink video files. Has anyone tried to do this before in a mod? Would you be willing to give some general suggestions and guidelines? For example, will the compressor on the Bink website be enough to create the files or do we actually need a license for Bink? Or is there a way to "fake it" using some sort of changing texture system?
Jokerine
Seddon has a tutorial here for a scripted slideshow. I haven't tried it myself, but it sounds pretty easy to do.
rickerhk
The game executable itself is already licensed and has the code to play Bink files so you can play your own .bik files in a mod with no license issues.

Fallout2AM
I've read through the scripts and they indicate that while they show as just "Slides" they're actually Bink video files. In FO3 maybe, but in FONV would have been impossible due to its 100+ variants in the end. You are teleported in a room and some slides are projected, they change using vanilla function SwapTexture.
Jokerine
In that tutorial I linked earlier, Seddon comments that he was never able to get SwapTexture to work so he has several slides that simply get enabled/disabled as needed. I've never tried using SwapTexture myself, but it helps to have alternatives. :)
Fallout2AM
You're right, everyone should use the alternative they prefer and can handle. For myself, I can testify that SwapTexture works fine, while I've never managed to make the correspondent NVSE function to work Edited July 14, 2015 by Fallout2AM
