I'm having trouble with my load order, my game has been working okay before I decided to add in a few more mods. I ran Fo3EDIT and it doesnt seem to find any errors, I also tried using the exact load orders from LOOT and BOSS, they still dont work. Please help! Here is my load order, if there is any additional info you need let me know. I appreciate all the help guys, man this stuff is complicated and confusing!

Both dont work!

uninstall and delete BOSS, LOOT is far superior. also they were made and developed by the same people. LOOT doesnt go by BOSS simply because the change they made between the two was far to great to go by BOSS.

 

next, did you start a new game?

Oh I see, yeah I noticed Boss can't recognize some of my plugins and does not put them into the load order. And no I did not start a new game, I've kind of been adding mods in as I play the game, it was okay up to this point.

yeah they stopped supporting BOSS a while back

try a new game and see if things start working better. you might have to reinstall a couple mods.

yeah i've done this several times before, it will fail at some point though.

Oh actually, I did not think that question thoroughly lol, the issue Im having is that the game will not even start. As soon as I launch the game from Fallout Mod Manager, black screen will come up as if its loading the game, then immediately crash. Dont even get the option to load or start new game

Well, which ones? Try disabling those and see what happens. And does the game start without any mods active?

 

And I suspect the EWE mod might be the culprit here, since it still relies on a very old version of EVE. I'd recommend uninstalling it.

 

You're also missing compatibility patches for EVE, FWE and MMM, but that's of later concern.

I also tried out LOOT and went back to using BOSS.

But, I still am getting crashes with my level 2 character -- and I'm using a 'slow leveling mod' and its taken a week to get to level 2 so not really wanting to restart the game.

My short load order is below, and if you can take a look I'd appreciate any guidance!

I started getting crashes near the sewer kind of close to the wasteland merchant on a bridge somewhat close to Megaton, actually the point where the raider hangs out by a car just north of the Car Dealership near Megaton.

If I go past there and the cell loads that has that wasteland merchant on a bridge, if I try saving after going there the game crashes, even if I walk to another cell, like Megaton -- when I enter the Interior Cell it CTDs.

 

I systematically unchecked a single mod, ran the game, went to that location, and tried a save game. If it crashed I rechecked that mod, then unchecked the one above it and tried again. I repeated this until I found the mod causing the crash: CustomBeginning.esp

I'm not running a whole lot of mods so... please help! I really will appreciate it.
Fallout 3 is the only game I played since 2010 except for 3 months of FNV right after that came out, then went back to FO3. I love it *that* much!
