DavidYokosukaJapan
After you shoot stuff out of the Rock-it Launcher it sits in the wasteland maybe a few seconds and then just disappears. Is there a setting either in game or with the config files to make the rock-it launcher's "spent ammo" last longer? Sometimes when I'm running around trying to collect the garbage I've just used for ammo, it disapears just as I'm putting my Cross-Hairs over it to pick it up  It's like my hand is reaching out for it and then "poof!" it's gone and I can hear the voice of God in my head, and He's saying, "Denied!"
BlackRampage
Well, normally one can allow bullet casing to last longer by adding a GunShellLifeTime GMST setting and editing the value. But I have no idea whether this also works for Rock-It Launcer ammo. If not, you could try having a look at the Rock-It launcher projectile (I think it's called "Rock-It junk"?) itself and see if there's some value in there you could edit to increase the lifetime. Grimples
I doubt you will be able to pick it up & reuse it, same reason you cannot pick up a thrown grenade, the game will flag it as already used.

Grimples, I always re-use my spent Rock-it Launcher ammo by walking around, picking it up (which adds it back to inventory), and then reloading.I have a "thing" for shooting baseballs, basketballs, clip boards, coffee cups, and as disgusting as this may seem, the skulls I find in Super Mutant gore bags. BlackRampage, thanks very much for this good info. When you say "looking at the RIL projectile," do you mean by looking at it in a merged patch?I'm not familiar at all with modding/editing but recently am reading about (trying to learn) about editing the merged patch using FO3edit to ensure that the mods that I want to win, win despite being higher in load order. BlackRampage
BlackRampage, thanks very much for this good info. When you say "looking at the RIL projectile," do you mean by looking at it in a merged patch? No, not in a merged patch. The record won't even show up in there if there are no conflicts. Just look at the projectile/ammo in the GECK or Fo3Edit (whichever you prefer). Sorry for the late reply btw.
DavidYokosukaJapan
No please don't apologize for late replies -- I'm often guilty of that as well!Thank you very much for the guidance! I will try looking at that in FO3edit and see if there is some sort of 'life' value there. Edited August 11, 2015 by DavidYokosukaJapan
