420man
Hi, im new to these forums (as you can see from the posts lol) and ive encountered an odd problem which i could not find by searching forums or comments on the mod file itself. The mod is fantastic, i have no bugs or anything other then a slight AA problem. I start the game with AA set through my video card (8 x S) and oblivion set to 4x AA, and everything is jaggy free etc when i enter the castle. However when i leave the castle, the AA somehow gets set lower in game (all of a sudden jagged lines everywhere :O) now i hate to be a stickler, but AA is kinda important to me and i like have smooth clean lines and dont want to have to reload my game every time. Has anyone encountered the same problem with this mod and have found some sort of fix? Im not an advanced sort of modder but im not completely brain dead either (i mod a lot of games including oblivion and never encountered this issue) did i perhaps do something wrong? It's never happened with any other oblivion mod (ive added dlc's and a couple other house plugins with no issue) Any help or insight would be appreciated, and if i somehow missed this topic somewhere in these forums im sorry and any link would be appreciated as well. Thanks to anyone that reads and can hopefully add a solution or an answer to what is wrong. For more info: i have battlehorn castle, all official dlc houses, shivering isles expansion, patched to version 1.2.416 (?) all natural environments/weather, illumination within, couple of nude mods (hgec and roberts). Not sure what else i should add that might help some of you pros find me a solution. thanks to all who read this :)
Hickory
First of all, there is no point enabling AA in-game and also forcing it through your video card. Turn off AA in-game so that you can use the much better HDR. Achieve your AA solely through your video control panel. I haven't played Almgard Castle, but my guess is that it has a very high poly count or textures with narrow parallel lines, similar to the columns in the IC, which can cause graphic weirdness with AA enabled. Yay i learned something new. lol i had no idea about the card/game settings, ill leave the in game settings alone then and stick with the card settings. i think theres a couple different folders with better frame rates etc. that the modder added in so i might experiment with those and see if that helps, for now ill just remember to reload the game after a big castle decorating/loot unloading spree. Any other responses still welcome in case someone has also encountered this problem with this or any other mod. Hoping for a fix but i do understand just some things cant be done. Been lucky so far with flawless mods. Thank god for modders, i love you guys
