Qaerixxszhara
I thought I'd give some basic weapons editing a try. I downloaded all the programs used in the various tutorials I found, extracted all my meshes and textures to my data folder using FOMM, and opened up Blender. All tutorials say the "import" menu option under "file" should have an option called "netimmerse gamebryo", containing my Fallout: NV meshes, but this option doesn't even exist. What do I do to fix this? All the tutorials I have found just go over it like there's no chance it won't work, I haven't found any info anywhere on what to do if the option isn't even there. Please help! I can't even get started if I can't fix this.
Skaeith
It's 99.9% likely that you botched the installation process. First: Uninstall everything. Second: http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Installation_of_Blender Follow this installation guide. It's what worked for me. Do not deviate, download exactly what versions of the tools the tutorial tells you to. Compatibility is a fickle thing, so it's best to go with what's tried-and-true. Qaerixxszhara
Okay from what I can tell, I was actually using too new a version however bizzare that sounds. It seems to work with the package from the OblivionNexus, TYVM!
jazzisparis
The NIF import/export scripts will only work with Blender v2.49b. You can install both that version, and the latest one. First use the former to import the NIF file and save it as .blend file. Then load that file with the latter, where you can do all the actual work. When done, load the .blend file with the former and export to NIF format.
