icecreamassassin
This is just infuriating me. Thousands of lines of dialog, a mod that's almost 3GB in size, over 300 scripts and a year and a half plus and I'm stumped by THIS??? I have an NPC who I have a force greet package on, which points to a dialog topic and both have the correct conditions set but for the life of me I cannot get the NPC to LOCK you into conversation, there merely say the dialog as a passing comment. I have tried to set the branch as NORMAL and as BLOCKING and NEITHER make a difference. Am I missing something? or is this just one of those stupid CK bugs where it corrupts a random record and gives no indication that it has.
Mattiewagg
If the topic doesn't link to anything else, then they won't initiate the dialogue menu, they'll just say it in passing. You could try making an invisible continue if there's more than one line and it should open the dialogue menu. It's not a bug. Unless you have multiple choices, in which case... Regenerate SEQ? icecreamassassin
Well the dialog is all in one actual topic, but has multiple "lines" but doesn't continue to any other topics. It's weird you say it won't work unless it links to another topic, I do have another NPC which has a force greet set the same way with only the one dialog (no linked dialog topics) and it locks you in just fine. At least I'm pretty certain he's been locking you in... I'll check it again.
icecreamassassin
I figured out what it is. You can't have the "goodbye" flag checked, otherwise it treats the forcegreet as a normal comment dialog rather than an actual force greet
Mattiewagg
Oh, okay. That's what it is. I almost always have my forcegreets that are one liners as goodbyes. Good to know for the future.
