Deleted1811414User
for reals? really? why even have this topic available? another one that really bothers me is when talking to vendortron, i have the option of asking "how'd you get in there?" its' like obsidian thinks i'm 10 y.o. or something. bizarre dialog. WastelandAssassin
why is this strange, that you get a discount, even if you killed Jeannie May???if you found out that your neighbor was selling slaves, or something this horrible, wouldn't you be glad to have her removed??and he can't really reward you for killing her, so keeping the discount makes sensealthough i would say that if you had to intimidate the vendor (who's name i can't recall) for the discount, it would make some sensestill, the general idea does make sense as for the line with the vendortron, why do you really care??i like these lines, as they mean that the creators thought about stuff, instead of saying "this is how it is, deal with it"if you don't like these lines, just don't use them you should consider the fact that dialog is a big part of the game, at least for immersion, so even if some of it seems bizarre and redundant to you, it may be really immerse for other playersif that bothers you so much, you can always just remove the dialog yourself in the GECK

I'm already getting the discount, so why even mention it? Try replying with that dialog option and see what happens. Most of the dialog is fine, it's just a moronic moment in an otherwise great game. WastelandAssassin
i did this a long time ago, so i don't remember the specific answer, so forgive me on that i get your pointit is rather stupid to suggest thishowever, for people who didn't get the discount before, it is an option to get it now (although the exact question doesn't really fit, as it means that you already got the discount)so all in all, it's probably the best of a bad situation there are other moronic parts of the game, including some dialog optionsthere is a may of changing\removing them through modding, but i don't really know if we can do better (at least when you think of changing existing dialog)and there is also the problem of it being voice acted (and most people wouldn't like silent conversations) so as i said, it's probably the best of a bad situation

Dasim4
It probably should have been phrased differently as well as only being made available to people who don't have the discount already. If you already have the discount why would you risk losing it by letting him know what you did? He never says a word about it so why should I? And I agree about the Vendortron comment. It's a robot. No obvious doors. It was pretty obvious how they did it. I just ignored that one. There are lots of others like that but I never click on them because I think it makes my character look stupid. Role playing right? Yea my character isn't supposed to be a moron.
jhutt58
I have wondered this as well. But I have come to the conclusion that it is there for the person who likes to role play their character.A function that adds a voice acting opportunity that is otherwise not received.
