Oblivion wont start when i use mods.

I have a couple of mods for oblivion, and im going to be downloading more, but the game wont open. When i click the launcher and check all my mods off, it opens, goes black, and then crashes (?). It is not in my task bar, there are no messages or anything. When i launch without the mods, it works fine.

Adding more mods when it already doesn't work will make things worse not better. :confused:

 

First, did it work before you started piling on mods?

Did it stop working after the first Mod? If not when?

Do you have the latest patch? It's actually required for most mods.

Do you have and start using OBSE? Many mods require it too.

Have you done anything to set your load order properly? BOSS is the best for this

What version of the game do you have? Steam? CD? D2D? Other. There may be some differences

Use either OBSE or Wrye Bash to help with mods. OBSE is simpler for a neophyte, But Wrye Bash can do more tricks- but is harder to get working.

It works when i dont have mods on, it loads fine. Im not sure at what point the game stops working, but i just know it doesnt work with mods all of the mods. Im not sure what the latest patch is, i downloaded a torrent of it, and it works fine, and i installed the latest Unofficial Oblivion patch.

those two never worked for me when I had them enabled. Try removing those two. If that wont work you can try the long and annoying way of seeing if it works; like unchecking certain mods one by one and singling it out more.

I have tried different combination of mods, and it only seems to work when im not running ANY at all. Which really bothers me, because ive done everything right. Is there anyway somebody could use a program like TeamViewer and fix it for me? It is extremely aggravating to not be able to play. :verymad:
