devinpatterson
I like to think a vertibird drops it off for you as much as they've shown the interaction with them, being able to summon one, use the mounted minigun, etc. Yeah that'd be cool  this is true, but still it didnt seem like you were picking up requests anymore. (as you stated, sorta) Nope, but if you want to believe I'v just come back from an extended hiatus despite the examples I gave and the posts in this forum, I won't try to dissuade you. that's the point, make like each part weight about 30 pounds so you cant carry it all in one go. Naw can't say that appeals to me at all, nor is there any reason to believe FO4 will work along those lines. But we do have a good example of how it does work, and I like the concept (garage). But maybe you can interest someone else in your idea. I like the concept of it being like a vehicle, as the OP stated, and I think (contigent upon new info) that's what the dev are shooting for. @Skyviper086 I had hte same idea/concept (I think we all did after seeing the trailer), and discuss some of the points in this thread as well as a bit about the pipboy in this thread. But I, as well, do like the concept of the armor not being able to get carried around. Me too, makes it like a mini mech  I did like the idea of having it be powered so maybe their could be some lights on that thing? (I'm not sure if there is mod out there that already does this but I like the idea of shoulder mounted lights or a weapon, or nothing . Yeah some lights would be cool like the trailer. DoctorKaizeld
i got another idea, so how about you have to learn how to disassemble/reassemble from a scribe, so sure you have power armor training but that doesnt mean you can take it apart. so maybe a quest could be made or the perk be added as something you get after a certain existing quest. Skyviper086
Me too, makes it like a mini mech   My thoughts exactly. I checked out that thread you mentioned and I see what you mean. We're all thinking the same thing just about. Truth be told they had me sold when I saw that part. Even if the game stinks guess what ... PC gamers can mod it (well during E3 they stated they would allow said mods to be used on console as well) but the important thing is that it can be modded. Another aspect that I can do is the armor degradation. You probably recall the vault dweller nailing a BOS member with a rocket launcher and parts of the knights armor coming off. I can do something along those lines too. So there is some stuff that we can implement, and if I learn to animate or have some help, there will be more similarities we can implement to duplicate FO4 power armor. DoctorKaizeld
they would allow said mods to be used on console as wellyes but it's gonna be on a tight leash. they need to make a good impression on Xbox and Sony and prove it's a good idea. though im pretty sure a large amount of mods will still get on there. Skyviper086
Let me check with some contacts about the animation portion.
Skyviper086
Okay I heard from my contact and right now things are tied up pretty tight due to good reasons. ... very good. However I can ask some other folks about the animation issue but they use pretty expensive programs i.e 3Ds Studio so I was wondering would your file be compatible with that program? If so I'm really sure I can find some animators or at least I hope I can.
devinpatterson
However I can ask some other folks about the animation issue but they use pretty expensive programs i.e 3Ds Studio Well 3ds max is pretty well supported for fallout, second only to blender IMHO. A lot of 3D artists and animators in the community use it for fallout. so I was wondering would your file be compatible with that program? If so I'm really sure I can find some animators or at least I hope I can. Well it wouldn't even necessarily have to be anything but the go/world model as the playgroup on the armor's animation (and scripted player movement) would probably just happen when entering or exiting the armor. And either way it's still a nif (whether it's the rigged ver or the go/world model), and that's the final format regardless of whether 3Ds max, blender or whatever is used to create it....so I'm not sure I understand your question. I do have to use multiple armor addons/pieces to simulate the ability to degrade the separate armor model pieces as we saw with the BOS knight on the bridge when s/he was hit by the rocket launcher....but that won't affect the world/go model. Skyviper086
I was just making sure that 3Ds max could work is all but you've already answered that in your first response. Okay give me a moment and let me see what I can come up with.
Skyviper086
Okay man here's the details. I can't find anyone. Some Major mods have all the available talent held up. I even went to an aviation mod developing site where they animate some of the aircraft models ... they got some major projects going on too. I'm about ready to go to Fiverr ...
