This seems as good a place as any to post my question...

The question I have is about a mod that is already installed and in use in my Oblivion game. The problem? I want to remove the mod, but I have absolutely no clue what mod it is. I have many mods installed, and my powers of deductive reasoning have failed me. Essentially, here's what happened:

I was hoking around in Fort Scinia, looking for an amulet from another mod. In a chamber, I saw a glowing sword hovering in mid-air, so naturally, I went to look at it. When I did, every exit out of the room was barred and a necromancer approached me. He told me he was going to put me to good use, and that I should go to sleep. Then, I 'passed out.' When I woke up, I was a skeleton. Really, it was kind of cool! The necromancer told me that if I found a certain crown for him, he would let me go. I met up with another skeleton named Seamus, and we went to find the crown together. We found it, and took it back to the necromancer who told us we would actually have to stay in the fort until we died (we weren't undead--just under an enchantment). We managed to escape and we went to the swamps near Leyawiin where we found the necromancer's shack. We killed him, and the enchantment was lifted. I became human again, got all of my stuff back, went on my merry way....

The only problem is (and the reason I want to remove the mod) is that I'm permanently silenced. !!!! I can't get rid of the effect, and I really don't want to be a mage unable to do magic.

Can ANYONE tell me what mod this is so I can un-check it?!?!? I know it's the mod that permanently silenced me, because the silencing started when I became a skeleton.

Thanks so much.

Not to be critical here, but it seems that it would be quite easy to look at your list of mods and then judging by the names disable the likely candidates one by one until you are rid of the effect. There's also unfortunately a chance you will still be silenced, but most likely not.

I considered that, and tried it for a couple of the most likely candidates. However, my game is so mod-dependent now that removing certain mods can cause my game to become corrupt or debilitated to the point that I have to revert to a previous save. I'm not asking anyone to bend over backward to figure this out for me....but if anyone knows off the top of their head what mod this might be, I would be grateful.
