Question about permissions.

As far as I can determine, Beamdog aren't the copyright holder for Baldur's Gate stuff.

From their website:

Beamdog is a digital distribution platform. Beamdog facilitates the purchase, download and updating of software.

So it appears they have a distribution license and despite the friendly reply, Stephen @ Beamdog Support is really just giving a "player-to-player opinion" and is not in a position to grant permission to use any of the content in other works. :armscrossed:

I suppose that means I'll need to once more contact Wizards of the coast about it. But last attempts all ended with automated replies- and not even useful or relevant automated replies.

I'm starting to think they don't actually have a living staff, and are all just robots are this point.

I don't suppose anyone else ever managed to get into contact with them to ask already?

Baldur's Gate series music use, or even just the 2nd's music, specifically.
