  2. I didn't realize the Morrowind modding community was still alive. Maybe I should get back into Morrowind Modding too.
  3. In response to post #64250886. Yeah, I don't really understand where they're coming from either honestly. personally I've sunk over 830 hours into the creation kit and it's not like playing a game and having fun; these are the same types of tools the developers work with. Far as I see it; it's basically like saying that the development team for the game shouldn't get paid because they're working on a game. Making music, art, and every other creative based outlet one can simple say "It's just a hobby, they shouldn't be allowed to accept money for it." and it just sounds stupid.
  4. In response to post #56235636. #56236601 is also a reply to the same post. It's already out, Halloween Overhaul 2012 - Halloween Overhaul 2017. Was going to do a Christmas and other Holiday based ones as well but just never got around to it as I lost much interest in modding Skyrim after realizing modding was eating up so much of my time. But I mean if it makes at least anything I'd have an excuse to get back into it again instead of constantly feeling like "These hours can be spent playing a game or working on a -real- project".
  5. In response to post #56208246. #56208656, #56210846, #56214516, #56228636 are all replies on the same post. Seeing as decent quality mods take upto about a thousand+ hours to complete- it's just insane to expect mod authors to be endlessly content with just working off comments like: "lol nice mod", "The music sucks", "This is my favorite mod, I install it every year.". I've logged 825 hours in the Skyrim Creation kit essentially making a few fairly simple mods; and more or less got nothing from it as I don't even play Skyrim anymore and just try to keep my fans a bit happy every year when they go to check to see what's new..
  6. Neat, an actual excuse to work on my projects again, although it doesn't seem like it'd do much good unless you're one of the most popular authors. Still worth looking into I suppose.
  7. Greetings and well met everyone; is there anyone knowledged in Skyrim nif creation who could help me with something real quick? I'm having an issue importing my model into Skyrim, it's giving a "has a specular power of <= 0.0 which will cause HDR errors on ps3." but from what I can see in nifskope it's specular power is 1. But besides that my main issue is that it's just showing up as black in the CK; and the texture I believe is set correctly. http://i.imgur.com/DQQDFea.png http://i.imgur.com/YPLtGsh.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/LgGD7y7.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/N4dQola.png The texture files were initially draugr texture files so they should be a perfect resolution for use in Skyrim. 1024x1024. The bump map I made in GIMP2, and the model I exported from Maya as an FBX to 3ds max and from there as a nif using some plugin made by the guys over at Skywind. Anyways, this is going to be a customizable Under Construction sign modders resource for modders who are making large projects like mine where there are areas people keep wandering into and finding totally unfinished. EDIT: *facepalms* Nevermind I figured out the problem, if anyone else is having issues it's Has Vertex Colors, change it from false to true in your NiTriShapeData.
  8. As the title suggests; what are the top games you've enjoyed making mods for?
  9. Greetings and well met; welcome to the Nexus.
  10. So it appears they have a distribution license and despite the friendly reply, Stephen @ Beamdog Support is really just giving a "player-to-player opinion" and is not in a position to grant permission to use any of the content in other works. :armscrossed: I suppose that means I'll need to once more contact Wizards of the coast about it. But last attempts all ended with automated replies- and not even useful or relevant automated replies. I'm starting to think they don't actually have a living staff, and are all just robots are this point. I don't suppose anyone else ever managed to get into contact with them to ask already? Baldur's Gate series music use, or even just the 2nd's music, specifically.

  12. "I would like to see a mod that removes towns and most of the NPCs in general leaving Skyrim a completely uncharted land." I was actually talking about this in chat the other day; and have started making it. Got bored and figured: "Well, game breaking saves aren't very popular.." and scrapped it. lol Anyways; " I will still maintain that this mod is surely easier to do than creating new textures, new lands or new quests etc" Getting it to work in it's very simplest of forms, yes. Getting it to make sense with the roads and other mods- not really. I'll put two hours in, and see how much progress I can make on this mod. Well; I turned whiterun into an old ruin using the farmhousedestroyed models and removed all the NPCs surrounding it; figuring it would be a good idea to save before CK crashes, I go to save the file annnnnnnnndddd- http://i.imgur.com/fTdV6gq.png GG CreationKit.
  13. That's a great voice lol. I'll message you when I find good characters for that voice.
  14. "a bit like the wabbajack" More closer of an example would probably be wild mage. Anyways; that would be cool to have indeed.
  15. Anyone out there mind doing voicework later for a mod I'm working on; it's essentially a paladin order faction and questline; so I could really use any voices which sounds fitting for a paladin.
  16. Thanks Lisn; turned out the problem is that they disallow anyone with adblock installed on their chrome from even going to their website. Well that's pretty persnickety of them.
  17. Essentially everything I look up for the CK online takes me to creationkit.com; and it always gives me an Error 522; anyone else experiencing this, or am I just the only one unable to access the site? And anyone know if it's permanently down or whatever happened to it?
  18. Forgot about http://i.imgur.com/F3806BI.png. Perhaps this idea wouldn't work very well; unless I save constantly or only make small sections at a time. Or actually have a team.
  19. Well that's good, and making the resources for that in theory should be quite fun as I don't need to focus on functionality and realism with the designs.
  20. So as of late I've been playing quite a bit of Morrowind; which then made me think of Oblivion; which then made me get back into playing Skyrim again because Oblivion just feels unplayable to me. And then I realized that we don't have anything nearly as interesting in Skyrim going on as the Shivering Isles was; so I figured perhaps it would be an interesting project to make a shivering isles themed quest; and then I I wondered if it would just instantly get taken down because the shivering isles takes place in Oblivion and not Skyrim. So anyways; the question at hand, would making a shivering isles based mod be against some sort of rule or not? If not; then I suppose I could call it The Shibbering Ibbles, and make up my own god-king of a sort for it. -Which actually would make more sense considering Sheogorath is now the player from Oblivion; and naturally the isles would be significantly changed at this point depending on the personality of the character; which really gives a lot of new content ideas. Although the half good half evil theme is probably a must.
