ManehattanProject
We are very lucky to have an amazing score composer on the Project and we need to find an effective way to get his music into the game. I've done a hefty amount of research on this and come up with conflicting reports. I've seen two sets of instructions. One is to set things using the Media Set and an audio emitter and the other is to use the music setting within the "Info" dialogue box (same general area as where you adjust Image Space). The first I could never get to work right (and saw several people having the same trouble). The second is supposed to be just for Fallout 3...but seemed to work so-so. The issue with the second is that the song is looping in strange areas. Rather than starting over at the beginning, it starts over halfway through. Anyone have some experience with getting custom music into the game? We don't want to replace the existing music, but only use it for our zones and areas. While we will be adding a custom radio station, there's plenty of instructions online for that, so I'm not worried about that. We'll have custom ambient music for each zone/level, along with custom combat music. What's the best way to handle this?
DaemonGrin
I've done this in my mod the only thing I can't figure out is disabling one audiomarker and enabling a different audiomarker for an event that occurs. I used http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Fallout_New_Vegas_Music and opened up musCTRLbttldangerous or w/e and studied and looked at the different sets inside it. Hope if helped,Geoff
rickerhk
In New Vegas, the music settings on the cells themselves no longer work. So it's the tutorial link DaemonGrin gave.
