DeathByEpicness
Hey guys ^_^ Recently I've come up with an idea for a new disease (not an original idea though) that could be added to Skyrim. Zombies. (Obviously not the name of the disease but, well, you get the point) I haven't thought of a name for the disease yet, but if all else fails it can simply be referred to as "Rot".EDIT: Disease can also be called "Solanum Virus" (thanks to qwertyzeldar for the information regarding the name ^_^) Basically, it is a disease that can be contracted by fighting undead creatures (mainly draugr). It adds a new active effect, which means that over time unless it is cured your character will show signs of decay. I was thinking perhaps using a similar thing such as the Undead FX in the Undead Races Mod (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=144587974). It would be a gradual thing which starts slowly, but after a while begins to slow down your character (Stamina, Health, and Magicka regen is slower, etc). The only way to counteract the decay is by curing the disease (which could probably be done through a quest) or by feeding on people/animals (similar to the zombies in the series Being Human). If you're willing to take it further, you could possible also get certain perks or powers or spells that can be added (such as the ability to reanimate corpses indefinitely until they are killed, or strike an enemy with decay which gradually lowers his health throughout combat, etc). I'd be willing to help in any way possible (although my skillset is... very limited). Thank you for taking the time to read this (assuming you did bother reading through everything) In the event that you didn't read everything,tl;dr - Mod adds zombie disease to player, player feeds on people so that they don't go "poof" in a puff of stinky rot-smoke. Talonflight
I love this idea; i had actually suggested something similar, a way to become an undead but not be a vampire. Perhaps as time goes on, you get things such as unholy strength (Since zombies don't feel pain, they aren't limited by their bodies nearly as much as living beings are) and can move faster and hit harder as a result. they could have an innate armor value or somesuch thing since undead technically can only be killed by damage to the nervous system. Just a few ideas ^^

As for the Unholy Strength, maybe add a power that makes their melee attacks stronger for a certain number of hits (?) at the cost of health (they wouldn't feel pain, but their body would still be affected [i.e: punching so hard that they end up breaking a bone, etc]).
