Malchik
You can open everything to 100 with an apprentices lockpick if your security level reaches somewhere between 50 and 60.
Charon
True, Malchik, I had no problems with locks since long ago ;) For the beginning (until I reached some 20th level) I enchanted a ring with open lock 100, could use it 4 times before it depleted. Never did I need to open more than 4 locks of a 100 level in a row. And after some time it recharged by itself. Cool little thing :) Now I don't need it anymore. Pob
Have never needed any scrolls or stuff. I use journeymans lockpicks (they are more readily avaible than apprentice ones) which are avaible at most sellers of lockpicks and you can find them in caves etc. Got my security up to 50 ish early (started with it as a minor skill) and after that I could open anything with enough tries. Malchik
Yeah, man - it's just too easy, innit? IMO we should have to find the keys at times to open locks. Make it a bit more of a challenge. Most tombs have keys inside if there are locked chests but I can't be bothered to look for them even though I have the beggar's nose spell that detects them. There is one cupboard that cannot be unlocked without a key in Bloodmoon but that is all.
