kibblesticks
I've had this idea for a short, fun mod which adds serial killers to the wasteland who'll track the player down. It's not meant to be lore friendly or realistic, just a bit of fun. I was just wondering how make it so the killers don't find the player immediately. Is there some way to make it random, so you never know when they are going to strike, including when you are asleep? Thanks in advance for any suggestions on this =]
davidlallen
He isn't a serial killer, but he is sure annoying; the guy Malcolm Holmes who gives you info about the blue bottle caps in Legend of the Star is the only one I know who can wake you up. I haven't looked into how he tracks you but that might be a good place to start. It doesn't really need to *be* random, it just needs to *look* random to the player. So, for example, a 10% chance of attack, checked once per day, and a 5% chance of attack, each time the player sleeps might be enough to *look* like the killer is tracking you. BTW I have heard some complaints about a serial killer feature in nvamp; maybe they have done something similar.
Brigand231
Another person to ask is Someguy2000 who wrote New Vegas Bounties and New Vegas Bounties II (in alpha testing now). He certainly knows how to make encounters happen.
