WizardOfAtlantis
I'm curious. I've had great performance in New Vegas without any real problems aside from the occasional mod clash but those get figured out. Now that I updated to the latest game patch, my game is chockier, blockier, and crashier than ever. The newly updated NV stutter remover helps tons but the game is still much worse than it was before this latest patch. I could have played for hours without a crash, and now I get random crashes here and there (nothing like FO3 but still tons more than I did before in NV). So what are your experiences? Aside from crashes, I get lots of lag entering/exiting interiors. You guys?
hector530
well it seemed to brake my ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated, i get random missing meshes now, once a enter loading screen the game will get missing meshes at random. ive reinstalled it manualy it helped but the slow down the random missing meshes but sooner or later they reappear err or i mean they dont appear i guess. at this point i think its best to reinstall the whole game hopefully my mods and saves will be there. i dont know if uninstalling FO NV takes away the mods or saves because that sounds like it make things worse but my game is starting to become unplayable due to these random missing meshes Edited February 26, 2011 by hector530
ita
I haven't had any problems at all, except for one CTD yesterday when Steam suddenly went bonkers and began updating itself.

WizardOfAtlantis
wow, such a wide variety of results. Interesting. Don't know what the hell it means, but it's interesting.
jallard
wow, such a wide variety of results. Interesting. Don't know what the hell it means, but it's interesting. Ever since the patch and not that I am blaming the patch per se, but ever since then my game crashes incessantly. Ninety percent of the time the game will crash within 10 to 15 minutes of play: or, if I go through a door, an elevator, a hatch; or otherwise. Then when I try to restart a game albeit from FOMM/NVSE, the FNV Launcher or from Steam once it gets to the FNV Launcher it crashes with the following error code: "Fallout New Vegas has stopped working" Furthermore, considerably more often than not I have to repeatedly try and start the game 4, 5 and as much as 8 times, before the game will restart. Then, only to have the game crash, as I stated above. The game is virtually unplayable.

GrindedStone
uh... It's not the update or FalloutNV.esmIt's everything after FalloutNV.esmIncluding your save games Run a vanilla game if you don't believe the hype. I guess I could say "You could spend time learning how to optimize video game content"But bah! It would just be a waste.

You'll have to check your load order and/or installing order. uh... Why would your time be a waste? Oh, right. Everybody else is stupid and doesn't want to learn anything about their game, right? That must be why we're on a forum talking about it. http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/rolleyes.gif
