Name: Kristina Calderon. Kriss for short. Hispanic Female, aged 25-26 during the events in New Vegas. 5'9" 130 lbs, black hair with hazel eyes. Sniper/melee, uses a sniper rifle and shishkebob. Driven and determine, but in ways naive and too trusting. Likes vodka but not to excess. Rejects the Legion's purpose and their methods, despises the NCRs stupidity and inability to execute or manage. Enjoys helping people to see their lives improve. Wants to create something strong, that can last.

She is James' daughter, and thus the lone-wanderer. She left the vault in search of him, but after she watched him die she left the Wastelands for a time and travelled to the Pitt. There, she met a man named Ulysses, who had come to the East for inspiration after losing hope in the Legion (after seeing Hoover Dam and the NCR and knowing how things would come to pass). After the events of the Pitt, the two became lovers, and she gives him the brand of the Old World Flag, in their joined desire to make something that could match the glory of the Old World. After liberating project Purity they fell into a war against the slavers of Paradise Falls, creating enough chaos to lose most of their other friends in the Capital Wastelands. After burning Paradise to the ground, sick of death, she retreated to Tenpenny Tower, and Ulysses followed her, despite feeling betrayed by her abandoning of their campaigns. His anger at the waste of resources in Tenpenny, and fury at her enjoying the softness there, causes him to turn on her, tricking her into giving him the key to the basement that he used to let in the ghouls and kill all of her friends. They fight and she nearly kills him, but spares his life not wishing to bring anymore death, and flees. After that, with nowhere left to go, she abandoned the Capital Wastelands, and made her way west, eventually (after several years) reaching the Mojave and becoming a courier.

 

As part of her travels in the West, she stumbles upon a small burgeoning community in the Divide, and wishes to help them, walking the Wastes back and forth bringing them all of the supplies that they need from the Mojave. She is semi-adopted by a young girl there, and develops a relationship with the girl's father. Ulysses himself, lacking friends or family in the East, eventually returns, and discovers that he is following her trail. After rejoining the Legion, he is sent after Graham. But after destroying New Canaan he forsakes the Legion completely, and wanders for a time, eventually himself discovering the Divide, and seeing that it is her that is building something great there, which was always his own goal. Not wishing to repeat his mistakes in the East, he stays hidden in the shadows, protecting her.

 

After a time, the town's fame starts to spread and becomes a large community, which attracts the attention of the NCR, who annex the Divide. They have her deliver a package to the Divide, unknowing. After she delivers the package and leaves, that package, Ed-E, destroys the Divide, her home, and all the people there that she loves. She sees this and flees back to New Vegas, where she loses herself in drugs, alcohol, and despair. Meanwhile, Ulysses sees the ruins of what he thought could be so strong, but was destroyed at what he saw as her carelessness and stupidity. He falls into despair and hate, and determines that he will eventually bring her back, to not allow her to run from what she did at the Divide.

 

It is at that point that she is commissioned to deliver the platinum chip, and is ambushed by Benny. At this point, due to all the pain she's been through, she sees death as preferable to life, and laughs at the cemetery in Goodsprings. When Benny shoots her, her entire self is swept away, but three days later she awakes in Goodsprings, with no knowledge of who or what she is. The only thing she remembers are the shadows of two men, one Benny and the Platinum Chip. The other a dark man in a dark coat, who wears a Flag on his back, who she knows has something to tell her.

Early Life: Explored and took an interest in Old World tech at a the age of ten, was constantly beaten for his refusal to assist in the family business.

Teenage Years: Got tired of his family's criminal ways and decided to move into the wastes at age 15. He then spent the next 19 years wandering and building up skills, only to lose them to the amnesia that resulted from Benny's shot to the face.

How he became a courier: Upon arriving in the Mojave totally penniless at age 29 he decided the best job would be one where fighting was only an unfortunate side-effect and promptly applied to become a courier.

Dislikes: Closed-in spaces (Minor claustrophobia.) Evil people, slavers, raiders, the Legion, the negative aspects of the NCR.

Companions: Anyone who wants to tag along. Cass and Veronica are good friends. Sympathizes heavily with Raul's past, the two get along very well.

Love interest?: Cass is cute, but too busy for the lovin'. Unless she's up for it, in which case, Deathclaws couldn't keep him away.

 

Parents: Only knew his mother until he was six. A child of rape, his father is a nonexistent figure to him. Doesn't care, doesn't want to. Mother's name was Rose, but that's all he can remember.

 

Early life: Ignored by his mother most of the time, foraged for himself, mostly. When he was six, he found his mother dead, a gang of thugs over her body.

 

Instead of being killed, he was taken in by the thugs. Best to take them young, they said. They taught him about guns and survival, but the gang leader, Marco, taught him to read. Mostly smut, but reading is reading. He would read anything he could, especially pre-war history, which he was fascinated in, much to the ire of the Marco.

 

Teen years: At around sixteen, although he doesn't know his birthday for sure, the gang abducted a nice looking girl. Excited to meet someone his own age, and a cute girl, no less, he prepared to see her that following night and comfort her. Instead, he could barely recognize her remains after the gang had had their way with her.

 

Finally seeing the gang for what they were, he quietly murdered them all in their sleep over the next week, causing a massive, and for Adam, enjoyable panic. Marco was the last to go, buried in an unmarked grace. He gave the girl a funeral afterwards. He left, and hasn't stopped wandering since.

 

How did he/she become a courier?: Money is money, and a travelling courier fitted his wandering lifestyle.
