Need help reviving Trebonius

I am sure that someone (most probably Marxist) knows the answer ;)

I desperately need to speak with Trebonius but he is dead

I killed him in the arena.

I can put him at PC, works fine, but he immediately attacks me - I guess beacause of the script of fight in arena. I can calm him down for several seconds with the spell, alas, this doesn't help, cause all he is saying is "meet me in the arena" and I can only press Goodbye. :(

Please, help me to get his mind back into his head, I want to speak with him to complete couple of quests I missed before becoming an Arch Mage.

Well if that's all he says when you calm him down, there's not much you can do. You can probably screw around with journal entries or variables but I don't really know the codes :P oh Marxist...

I fiddled a bit with console commands to no avail. It seems that once you trigger a journal entry (in this case MG_Guildmaster) you cannot delete it. I tried to set the entry to its previous state but Trebonius insisted on meeting me at the Arena.

Unless someone else knows how to revert a journal entry to a previous state (SetJournalIndex doesn't work from the console, maybe in a script?) I'm afraid that you have to live on and forget about those quests (and, I suppose, their rewards). Or you may revert to an old savegame and delay the duel.

Thanks, almusik, I appreciate your efforts. You know what I discovered - if I come close to someone in the Mages guild while Trebonius is firing his spells, he will kill the NPC nearby and I will be expelled from the guild, even though it is Trebonius who killed the poor soul. <_< After this, when I calm him down, he stops inviting me to arena B) I will try to exploit this fact.

Zedd, I guess becoming the Arch Mage was not the only reason I joined Guild, I find some pleasure in completing quests. I wanted to finish as many as possible, but, as it seems, some will have to wait until I create the next character

Oh, it happened to me once near Seyda Neen; I was chased by a bull netch and I ran past Fargoth while the beast spitted its poison: I turned to enjoy the show of the noisy bosmer meeting is (well deserved) death and the very moment that he fell to the ground the guards went crazy and started attacking me without asking me to pay a fine! Must be a glitch in the AI.
