DaemonGrin
I gotta say your argument is nonsense unless this fellow is using YOUR resources. By claiming he is "stealing" because of the naming conventions is ridiculous especially considering what he is trying to do involves the lens....Not to mention ##ScopeLens is the VANILLA naming convention for most if not all (can't claim that since I only looked at a couple in nifskope) scoped weapons. Don't get cocky kid! sorry couldn't resist kinda fits though. Unless he is using something you made don't make such a claim. Good luck,Geoff
jtucker40
Like Optics of New Vegas? Are we seizing it's current take down to make our own? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdGDgqt3HyY You're also stealing. I will give you an example. You used the same block name in nifskope (Coincidence? Looks like you're using my script as reference.) http://i.imgur.com/x7yn6EV.png an Optics of New Vegas weapon, using the same block name for the lens. Just like you: http://i.imgur.com/1txundS.png Source? I'm the developer of Optics of New Vegas. What you are doing with that block is exactly what Optics of New Vegas has done. I can also tell you are trying to hide the inner tubing of the scope - more so what faces are view able when looking through the scope. Optics of New Vegas does the same. It just looks to me like you took the opportunity since my file is down to copy my mod. Dude chill, the only reason the node is named that is so I can keep track of it, there are no scripts attached to it whatsoever. As for solving the transparency problem, I separated the scope tube and lenses into two separate objects and made sure to tick alpha properties in the shader. Now it works flawlessly, thanks for the help everyone! EDIT: Looks like this now, as you can see nothing like your mod. http://i.imgur.com/lXqebbN.jpg Edited July 25, 2015 by jtucker40
Deleted5865522User
Sorry, I understand what you are doing now. It appeared to be scripted at first. I am always on defense with my work after multiple people have actually stolen my work. From the title I took it as something similar to my mod as it removes textures and replaces them with an alpha when the aim AnimGroup is played. (The "making other textures disappear when seen through it" is what I misconceived.) Though now that I remember, I did have that issue myself. If a mesh has a gradient that is transparent, is placed over another mesh with alpha, the area with the gradient will cause the mesh with alpha in back of it to be invisible.Forgive me.
