coin409
I'm not that sure, maybe a strander XP Hardrive. It finished, but THAT took a whole 'nother three hours. Oh well, Fallout 3 runs smoother.

HellsMaster
I used Auslogic DD too. but a 750gb in 5m? I don tthink so. It takes 1 freaking hour to defrag my 650gb partition and another 1 freaking hour for other 800gb partition
bben46
The time, with auslogics as well as any other defragger will depend on how fast your computer is, how fast your HD is, how full it is and how fragmented it is. Also, if you are doing an optimization instead of a simple defrag it can take much longer. Auslogics is much faster than the built in MS defrag program though. - and more fun to watch than the lines on the MS defrag. A disk that is more then 80% full will struggle with defragging larger files until it has freed up enough space to work with. A slow (5400 rpm) HD on a lap top will take longer than a faster (7200 rpm) or a much faster and expensive 10,000 rpm drive on a desk top. If you defrag weekly - or even monthly it will take a lot less time than if your drive is over a year old and never been defragged. Win7 seems to do a much better job of keeping things defragged on its own.
HellsMaster
Yes, defregging weekly keeps the total time of each defrag quite low. On a 7200 RPM HDD. Knowing thor he has no doubt a SSD or a 10k RPM HDD with an i5
