PaladinRider
Hello all, Would anybody be interested in retexturing a Lucky 38 themed suit for my mod (see signature)? I'd like it if it shows the Lucky 38 logo either on the back or front breast (or both), and uses the Lucky 38 colours; black and dark red (or maroon). I have the Lucky 38 logo image (.dds) file that can be used. It is the one used on the Mister Handy's in my mod. Actually that logo should be included in the mod files itself off of nexus (In the textures/PR Run_The_Lucky38_Casino/ directory). I can send it separately if preferred. Obviously full credit will be given. Cheers.
Moraelin
Hmm, I was just considering making a red jacket version of my professional suits. I guess I could stamp a logo on the back for you too. Or you can do it yourself if you want to. I'm sure a lasso select and Hue-Saturation twist by 120 degrees of the blue suit is easy to do even if you haven't edited anything before. PaladinRider
I've already given it a couple gos, but I'll give it a few more shots using your suggestions, Moraelin.
Moraelin
Well, as I was saying, I always wanted to make a dark red suit anyway, so I made 3 variants of it. Have a look and see if one of them is what you had in mind. (I'd go with Red 2, personally.) If so, I'll stamp the logo for you on that texture. PaladinRider
I think that looks fantastic. If you don't mind I've already got the logo ready and I can slap it on. I'll show you a picture so that you can be sure I'm not 'destroying' your textures before I do anything with it. (And your go-ahead of course). Moraelin
Oh, you can do whatever you wish with it. All my stuff is free to use however you wish. So, sure, go ahead. EDIT: well, as long as it doesn't conflict, so please put your modified one in your own directory. But then you knew that already. EDIT: well, as long as it doesn't conflict, so please put your modified one in your own directory. But then you knew that already. I'm actually kind of stumped trying to get the .dds onto the .nif. All I see that your NIF uses are NV_NPC_Benny_N.dds and NV_NPC_Benny_D.dds. I was looking for the original "ProfessionalOutfitRed2.dds" to replace inside Nifskope. Am I missing something? (I was looking for BSSShaderTexture under Benny_arms: and upperbody:0). Are your textures attached to the nv_outfit_benny.nif ? Or is it applied in GECK? And yes, of course I will have the modified one in a unique directory. Edited March 2, 2011 by PaladinRider
Moraelin
It's applied with texture sets, not in the NIF. You don't need to change the NIF to retexture a suit. Look at the texture sets in the GECK and then hit the EDIT button for the meshes of the suit you want to change, and apply your texture set. Or just change the texture set for Red 2 to point at your texture, and delete the other suits.

I'm going to try again see what I can do. Thanks again for your help.
