Purr4me
"((((2.Game is not running from my "paste" folder launcher..It says "It appears that fallout 3 cannot be installed and the installer cannot be found..)))" that means you did not copy all of the files from the games folder. The installer is an xml file along with other tiny bit's here and there. IF fallout 3 or sky or NV is installed VIA steam, any short cut on an operating system will launch the game, steam will be found no matter where the game is. because it's installed and it is registered in the OS and the steam Blob file. backups are made to ensure NON-Loss of data, types of some backups can be used to test the integrity of the OS and the software's used. But discussion of Backups is not what i wanted to discuss, how ever, the method used to find a particular issue requires you to run a back up Isolated from other things. Mod's some mods alter things in a games folder, incorrect paths with in a mod can do this. I can dice up my game, and direct the game engine to bounce all over the hard drive IF I give it the correct information to use...But a short cut on any windows system will run the games, even copies of them, it will call up the native folder or application that installed it. Steam is resident...should be instantly called up...steam systems run all the data from a starting point, Even from inside of MO, a virtual system that totally Isolates all the games data from the operating system and steam calls up steam...now, that is a complete isolated game. I don't thing using your lap top is a good idea, we did not start there, I seen your steam profile so this method should work no matter what.but. that installation was not on the laptop it was on your big rig ,so that only means something is missing and steam will redirect it's controls to a new PC when it activates, just like it does on my tablets and phone or work / and home systems. each time it reset data so the Blob file is updated. many people millions play these games, this becomes a no brainier after a while. Because of that, means you slipped up some place. simple thing..games root folder Right click it select copy go to new place, select paste.there is no difference at all except where your launching it from. Steam will respond no matter what.Graphics or a sound file support *.ogg pointer may be at fault here..been there on win 10.will cause the game not to load...but this is so simple? LOL, it's looks all complicated drawn out in text, but it is the net ,and trying to solve a small riddle?A gazillion reasons with windows will cause bugs. Unknown things....your 2 and 0 and counting. Purr4me
http://postimg.org/gallery/2jlnef986/back up processes to protect investments.these can be ran directly. But can not be modified. Only IF the game is installed on that system.

lv1234
Okay....My laptop is being borrowed at this moment so we are going to have to wait when it comes to testing out the laptop... Again I'm still playing my fallout 3 game fine on my rig without using the f8 quickload function that came with casm so far (again the creator of the casm mod had stated that bugs can happen with the f8 quickload functions) Edited August 6, 2015 by lv1234

Purr4me
you need to install Steam first on that laptop before any games are installed, you need to log into steam thru it's apps before installing any games on that lap top, and you must comply in that order or there won't be any steam support available to fix the issue here. NOTE: 5 people were standing here in front of this monitor, and watched me correct spelling issues by hand. After fixing some errors, it was observed the fixes were changed back to incorrect spellings. All Though Idid update some things, I have noticed, and others too are noticing "network changes through out the world. There is some sort of frenzy taking place with many websites and softwares abound to normaly used platforms. A warning to you and others to keep an eye on your systems integrity. Currently all settings are set but here are un responsive. Iknow what to do, it's others that may not know. Log out and back in should clear it but, if ffor any reason there are tagalongs showing up? their source is what i will go after. On topic. Steam games require steam, that's all there is to it, no steam? no help just be absolotly clear. I know there are spelling (erros.) For instance < ERRORS.
