lv1234
I just now Verified my results and they are congruent to my resolve, FOSE is the culprit here when using Casm....IT / "FOSE" disables hard game saves, it locks up the game too. ran it thu Fomm (0.4.11.9) with FOSE button, results, transitions to the pitt froze up, game kaput. kitty get's curious , kitty check's file C:\Users\Purr4me\AppData\Local\Fallout3\plugins.txt and finds to no woder...the data is all screwed up and not correct. kitty tthen open up fomm ,right clicks menu and selects disable all, kitty then verifies the "plugin.txt file is now Void of any plugin data as it should be. saves file blank. kitty now runs Fomms auto sort / "BOSS" functions to sort said data, it sorts. # This file is used by Fallout 3 to keep track of your downloaded content.# Please do not modify this file.Anchorage.esmBrokenSteel.esmCASM.espDevoured in Darkness.espFallout3.esmFO3 Error Fixes.espPointLookout.esmRH_IRONSIGHTS.esmRH_IronSights_Basic_AnchoragePlugin.espRH_IronSights_Basic_BrokenSteelPlugin.espRH_IronSights_Basic_PittPlugin.espRH_IronSights_Basic_PointLookoutPlugin.espRH_IronSights_Basic_VanillaPlugin.espRH_IronSights_Basic_ZetaPlugin.espRH_IronSights_Pitt_NewRifleSights.espRH_IronSights_PL_NewItems.espRH_IronSights_RemoveReticule.espThePitt.esmZeta.esm that was the incorrect data seen. all screwed up.then I closed it all down, opened up launcher and selected all and run it, ,,,,,games launcher does not allow Fose to run. kitty gets spammed /comp[laint Fose is not running ,ok cool, I now know fose is killed off, so I openm casm and I see one of the mesage items missing but I open the time interval and set it only to one minute. save it and then click on the cart to go to the pitt.it works, ok...cool, Atl +f4 out. checks that plugin.txt file and see's it's still messed up... ok kitty goe's hmmmm, what's up ..ok opens up fomm, drops down the saved game manager and opens it...I see the last saved casm game sitting there big as you please, I click the extract button to extract the last current load order it has in it, here it is that list.[X] Fallout3.esm[X] Anchorage.esm[X] ThePitt.esm[X] BrokenSteel.esm[X] PointLookout.esm[X] Zeta.esm[X] RH_IRONSIGHTS.esm[X] FO3 Error Fixes.esp[X] CASM.esp[X] RH_IronSights_Basic_VanillaPlugin.esp[X] RH_IronSights_Basic_AnchoragePlugin.esp[X] RH_IronSights_Basic_PittPlugin.esp[X] RH_IronSights_Basic_BrokenSteelPlugin.esp[X] RH_IronSights_Basic_PointLookoutPlugin.esp[X] RH_IronSights_Basic_ZetaPlugin.esp[X] RH_IronSights_Pitt_NewRifleSights.esp[X] RH_IronSights_RemoveReticule.esp[X] RH_IronSights_PL_NewItems.esp[X] Devoured in Darkness.esp----------------------------------------- now casm works, no funny business with it....fose is what's screwing it up because fose was updated and is not longer the version casm was made to work with....but it does in fact work...you get only a single spam about it not being installed and it for ever lays to rest. that's as fast as I can work with the selected mods and this issue...Fose is the problem, rather the version is .not the mod. phew.So what do you want me to do from here? It seems that fose is causing things to go out of hand Edited July 31, 2015 by lv1234
Purr4me
ok...system overall stages...the game and the tools and the functions of saving data all work in a sequence of events....in time. If a tool / manager is used, the data it uses must be correct, it must have all it requires just like a mod does. no exceptions. IF the OS needs specific data to be able to talk to software and be inline with it, then that too is required. with that in mind comes a grey area..what software, how does it all work together...why is there so many different versions? each has a place and a time. so..there is a pattern to follow. since this game was made when? 2008 and published in 2009...it is fair to say anything new may not be compatible with this older game. The tools are where things can get badly messed up...today's tools are very powerful, the authors have hindsight to their advantage, but they can't possibly cover every instance of faults that can be produced due to the many varieties and variables currently populating the net. so, a streetwise person needs to get in there and find out what works right....not just work...but right ways.-----------------------------.net 2.0 is all that's required for this game, it's builtin to the system you have so it's not installed VIA the game disc's2009 vintage visual basics is not compatible very well..."works?" but not well ..with today's systems. Direct x ,that's installed with the game every time but if the OS has in it an update that Eliminates outdated software from being installed as of windows 7....all version and up, then you have problems. xlive control data is not allowed .you need to update your system for this game. But !! Fomm ,bless the authors soul...has an over ride *.dll file to remove this haunting issue....again..tools for the right job...nmm has no feature like this. the tweaked in the drop down menu removes the xlive bugs ,put's it to sleep. mods are not seen by the Games engine unless archive invalidate is running, invalidating the games own bsa archives so loose files will be recognized and use in game...once ran ,version dependent...it will always load every file sitting in that games directory no matter what it is. imagine having all of this flash before your eye's...when some one wants help? wait...it's happening now. Purr4me
So what do you want me to do from here? It seems that fose is causing things to go out of hand run the game with it's own launcher so it will establish it's own data.path I posted ,yours will be different "username" but open that file and see how the data looks?open fomm, click on your last saved game file you "want to use" hit the extract button and send it to the desktop, name the file and open that and post it's contants as found here. Purr4me
if you have fomm installed ? you open it and select all to disabled except fallout3.close it, run the launcher and see whats Enabled there...this is a verification on your part to see if the two programs "can talk" to each other.then use the launcher to tun the current saved game with out mods...this will Purge some data when it loads. but as long as your quick and do not save the game when you exit you will retain the contents of that game file just fine. exit the game open fomm use the drop down to sort "unchecked mods", yeah sorting disabled mods will take place. check your plugin.txt file for the writes that should show a correct set of mods in the correct order.if so? then close down fomm open the game launcher and run it now, this time all the mods match the current saved game file except Fose. you will know if it was done right by the nag message the mod posts about fose not being enabled. click ok and test the game. lv1234
So disable all especially the dlc .esm files except the fallout 3.esm? Also what do you mean by "dropdown to sort unchecked mods"? Where would i find the txt files? Update: You looking for this? (this was done after disabling the mods and I decided to load only the vanilla parts) [X] Fallout3.esm[X] Anchorage.esm[X] ThePitt.esm[X] BrokenSteel.esm[X] PointLookout.esm[X] Zeta.esm If you want the modded file, I can do that too Edited August 1, 2015 by lv1234
Purr4me
establishj a stable game and make sure the orders are correct.
lv1234
So does that require me to create another whole new game and delete all of the fo3 data (dont care much about) and saves? (already backed up vanilla ones)...then does that require me to uninstall fallout 3 goty? so when establishing a stable game...Should I use the load order in the .txt i sent to you or let fallout do it when it reinstall Update: I tried recreating the bugs on two other laptops (one that was manually refreshed, and one that had an os reinstallation),,Suprisingly to my results all are suffering the same bugs when it comes to the f8 quickloading function..Also I heard that the f8 function has caused some instability i fallout 3 itself...I believe the autor of casm said that we should manually load from the menu (esc button) from now on...Link to the author's saying:http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/100994-casm/page-8 Edited August 2, 2015 by lv1234
