Running through some bugs in fallout 3?

  1. DLC compounding /archiving...
  2. Create a folder in the data folder called DlcContent
  3. left mouse drag all DLC content into that folder
  4. using 7z set to ultra compressions right click Dlc Content folder and set to archive it.
  5. wait.
  6. when it finishes, you will now have a complete backup of your DLC content as an archive.
  7. this archive can now be used by Fomm, nmm,mod organizer ,wrybash if plausible.
  8. the point here is, you now can mod the game Vanilla Standard or Vanilla DLC'ed.
  9. using Mo, allows you to extract the useless bsa's to overwrite fallout's default data in it's bsa's.
  10. Mo does some amazing things.
  11. Fomm will do so if you set it up to do just that but requires knowledge as to how.
  12. other tools required for modding are plenty, but to know which to use and when as well as what can be touched and what can not be touched....that's for me to know...and others to find out. <----bad kitty, mean, really mean...meow.!
  13. do not alter the executable until you have installed and updated the GECK
  14. If you do..!, you won't be able to install it at all ..."and you will need it"
  15. speed enhancements are accomplished thru doing things in a specific way using software available..if you know how.
  16. This include graphics "speed" and ahh, there it is...every system is different, but this game is the same no matter what.

some things for you to think about. use it.

spamming the threads is not allowed here, but if I were to do so, it would be only wonders to amaze every one....cat spam is not what you might think it would be. I removed my Library here because there was little there to see.

 

My world for FO3 is alive, it goes against the dead..the dead being past tense, people do get all tense about life, when shown just how well you can manipulate things in this game, it gets Unreal in attitudes.

 

I am not about attitudes, I am about what you can do with this game with out resorting to 3rd party tools.

The company provided the tool ,though it may be a small thing as it is, it is a tool used for this game.

 

all it takes is time and the willingness to study it. Any game. The witchery ! oh my. yeah, I can be a witch,. but boy can I cook.

My problem is I can't find willing partners.

partners I can trust to keep it default and vanilla no matter the cost.

The reason:

you can't run a fose embedded saved game on a vanilla game, it won't work, that saved games first call is FOSE's *.dll's Not Fallout3.exe

so it's crash city. If a user follows directions as has been in the past, I am able to load their saved games just fine, but it does require their cooperation to do so..letting go of that script extender is like pulling teeth here. really it is.

 

Not unlike esp's calling the masters they represent, FOSE does this too. so the files saved are data bases of that game, a totaled amount of information from that play thru contains all the data.

 

some scripts information can get caught in a saved game...like RH_Ironsights...yeah, interesting things...was it yours? I think it was, any way yeah, I have right hand iron sights here working "with out fose".

saved games are where it's all at. no one here seems to care much about that.

 

Bethesda does now...took long enough, we'll see where it goes from here.

correct, just as I posted do so, 7z it all up as I directed, once you have the data safe in an archive, make a folder some place else and "MOVE" the data from the fgames folder and the zipped file too, all you want to see in that data folder is what I shown you in the screen shot.

Okay so the zip is done....I created another folder in my documents instead of desktop just for my preference...So now you want me to "cut" the fallout 3 data folder in the steamapps/common directory correct, to my new folder that I created in my documents correct or is it the zipped up one? :geek: Also you want me to move my dlc files that I just zipped just now to my new folder too?

the game ,needs to be seen as in the shot I have posted here:

 

reguardless of naming things ,this does not matter, what matters is that the data you are about to use looks like the shot, so where it goes matters not.

 

you downloaded Fomm so you have a tool that can be used later ,after establishing a clean game.

 

as directed, vault 101 exit it levels up, you set things so it's all done "spamming messages" and hard save there ,now you install the zip file with MO or FOMM or what ever manager you intend to use and launch the game thru the games own launcher.

 

DO not launch the game from with in fomm.....don't do that. do not launch it from steam because we are Isolating things that take place here and doing so will screw up[ the diagnostic session here.

 

we ...need to be on the same page...if I'm hit with unknowns...how am I to assist you ? My krystal ball will get broke.

 

Remastered can disable the spam but it introduces corrected code so that takes us away from your issues here.
