resizing a companion

is there a console command or a mod to change the size of a player? I tried 2 console commands Csize (setsize) for NV and setscale for F3, none work. I don't need a mod that changes size according to strength or anything like that.

Not sure of console commands, but it is really easy in the GECK.

Find the companion you want to resize and it's as simple as editing the scale field. Save as your ESP and play.

I'v e tried doing a tutorial from the website with GECK and I can't get started with it. I am using FNVEdit though and looked at it with that but fail to see how. I haven't tried GECK to edit things though.

Open the geck select Fallout master and load. Then in the object window under NPC or Creatures look for the companion you want to resize. Double click and a base id window should open. Look for the size or scale box. Should be a 1.000. Make it higher or lower. Save as an esp. Load up your game and tick the esp you made.

That should do it.

I tried that but didn't work. I didn't follow verbatim but what seemed logical. I found base size and typed in negative numbers but that didn't work so I used decimal, 0.50 for half size. that didn't work. I'm trying to make ED-E small like the kinos on StarGate Universe. I tried arranging the load order so mine is last then first... actually last later. Last after any ED-E mods but before other esp files and after esms. I edited all eyebot companion lines, upgrades disabled, ect. every damn ED-E mod should be the same data on those lines. Doesn't work.

To change the size of any NPC in the, or even yourself use the console command "setscale x.xx" without the quotes, the standard value is 1.00, and one more thing, this resets each time you reload a save, so its only a temporary measure, there may be permenent ways to go about it in GECK but i dont know em :(

I tried setscale before but used negative numbers. I tried it again with 0.30 and it worked. I can also save game and reload and it takes. I gave ED-E a ninja headband which is already in and main master file but called something else and then equipitem to make him use it. ED-E use to go stealth before but when he's small like a kino he doesn't go stealth. anyhow thanks. I made a batch file for this but since it keeps with a save file I don't have to use it every time.

ED-E does have his ninja headband and it does work afterall. One thing, ED-E is now the size of a large grapefruit and so his distance from the ground is proportional to his size. Can I make him higher in the air? While looking at ED-E with some micro-radar vision device I saw what looked like drops falling from him to the ground, Does this related to why ED-E trips traps? Can this have something to do with adjusting his height?
