itsjohnreid
Hi! I'm new here. So I've played Skyrim on 360 but always found the graphics lacking, especially in the lighting and textures department. I'm planning on building a PC soon with 8GB 1600MHz RAM, an intel pentium G3258, and Radeon r9 270x graphics. So I figured I'd get skyrim next time it's on steam sale and start playing with graphical mods. I was looking through nexus for a bit to try and find some good ones and came up with this list:- True Vision ENB (or possibly Seasons of Skyrim or RealVision)- Ultimate HD Fire Effects- Skyrim HD- Glorious Grasses- Skyrim Flora Overhaul- Pure Waters- No More Blocky Faces- Enhanced Lights and FX So I just have a few questions:1. Are these mods compatible, and what should the load order be?2. Are there better alternatives/ do you guys have any suggestions?3. Will my PC be able to run these at 50+ FPS at 1080p?4. Any suggestions for good GUI/HUD mods? By the way, I'm not planning on using any gameplay mods so far, just graphics and HUD. Thanks!

Nobody can tell you what you will like. However I recommend trying: 1. ER ENB Realistic2. Bleak ENB for atmosphere paired with Dark Fantasy Overhaul3. Far Off Nirn ENB4. Grim and Somber5. Kountervibe if you have a computer that can handle it (you don't)6. SkyRealism7. Tamriel Reloaded Ultimate HD Fire effects is goodSkyrim Flora Overhaul is melt your fps, not recommended on your video cardPure Waters is very nice, recommendedEnhanced Lights and FX is probably the best Lighting mod You'll need to decide what ENB you want before you decide on textures and weather and lighting because EACH mod has different requirements for that. Also recommended: 1. Anything aMidianborn2. Vivid Landscapes All in One3. Vivid Clouds and Fogs4. Ethereal Auroras5. HD Ivy6. AOF Detailed Mountains7. HD High Hrothgar8. The Beauty of Skyrim9. Lorkhans Vision10. The Ruffled Feather11. Dust Effects12. Verdant - 512k or 1024k textures13. SkyRealism Shiny Textures (THE BEST)14. Realistic Transparent Glass Armors15. LeanWolf's Better Shaped Weapons16. Yuril Bumpy Cities Pack17. Static Mesh Improvement Project The rest is kind of up to you to try and see what you like Don't worry about "No More Blocky Faces" it's kind of old. You can use Adorable Face or a more modern head nif. Wait for the $14.95 Legendary edition on Steam.

bombchu
I personally can't play the game without Natural Lighting and Atmospherics ENB. It's hands down the most realistic ENB out there, in my opinion. And you wouldn't need any other lighting mod (like ELFX), so that's one less performance hit. If you're not really wanting a realistic feel, Grim and Somber is my favorite stylized ENB.
BlackRoseOfThorns
Is there anything wrong with Skyrim HD? What do you mean by 'dated'? It's just that textures in this pack weren't touched since 2012. After so many years other authors released texture packs with improved quality and new meshes (Vivid Landscapes Forts, Gamwich pack, HalkHogan HD mods for example) or added terrain parallax. I went through all the textures in photoshop and I think that atm I have only couple of Skyrim HD Parallax Tribute ones, the rest is from other packs like NobleSkyrim and other mods mentioned in this tread plus my ultra hd collection. Novem99
Skyrim 2K HD is absolutely necessary as a basis since so many textures aren't covered by any other mod. So install this package always first and then let it be overwriten by all these smaller mods that are specialized on something like Ultimate HD Fire Effects for fire or the aforementioned Rugnarok for rugs.
