Kinetiq
simple question, is it possible to undo an enchanted item? e.g- i used the stone you get from the first oblivion gate you destroy to enchant a steel sword, is it possible to unenchant the item and use it with a new silver sword i got? Rhydderch Hael
There's no in-game method to take the enchantment off an item, nor extract the Sigil Stone or Soul Gem used to create it. You'd have to use console commands, which would essentially reproduce replacement items for you. Considering that you used a Sigil Stone to enchant it, there's no great loss. There will be plenty of oppurtunities to get more stones as the game progresses, and the higher your character level is, the better the stones become (until you reach level 17, when you've reached the best grade of Sigil Stone available). Kinetiq
yeh, i try and keep clear of using the console commands as it feels a bit like cheating. not realy a big deal i will just make sure i want the item enchanted before enchanting it o_O
StClair
I wanted a good stone for my Fine Steel Longsword, as it was my favorite weapon since I first picked it up... but sentimental value aside, you will be getting both better weapons and better Sigil Stones with which to enchant them. Keep your first one as a trophy, or sell it off once you've enchanted its replacement.
