Caradavin
Morrowind is running extremely slow, choppy, and terribly laggy. It was running great when I played it yesterday before the upgrade. I can barely move without it pausing up and it gets even worse going to menus and other options. Do I have to reinstall the whole thing because I upgraded or what? Oblivion is running great (it still ctd's a lot, but that's not a difference from before). Caradavin
LOL, yeah I know. I just love my Bethesda games. However, I was able to fix it and this may help others - I had to first install the morrowind code patch 2.1, then I ran code patch, ran mgso and reapplied all the settings, and applied the 4gb patch. I pulled this all out of my rear, but it seems to have worked. Also, I so miss XP - now, that was an OS!

You need to re-installl MCP 2.1 and then the 4GB patch again.

hollaajith
And if you didn't know some of the mods in MGSO is outdated and MGSO itself has many issues. More info about the issues here. Not that it concerns Windows 10, but many new users who come and post here know about MGSO but not about the issues.
thesnowdog1971
Hello everyone, my first post!!! I've also upgraded to Windows 10 and have just installed Morrowind and both Expansion Packs but not installed any mods or patches yet. Before I installed the Expansion Packs Morrowind ran just fine but now I'm getting a crash :wallbash: Whenever I press Play I get an error message saying "Failed to load snowflake: Meshes\BM_snow_01.nif" and the game crashes. Am in the process of downloading the MGSO mod and Morrowind Code Patch 2.1. If I install these will it solve the problem with the game not running..? Also, where do I get the 4GB patch from..? And one more question, because when I played this game when it was first released donkey's years ago I was using mouse and keyboard, can I use my 360 controller to play this or will I need a mod or GlovePIE thingummybob to enable that..? Many thanks in advance for any help, sorry for all the n00b questions  Edit: Looks like that MCP 2.1 solved my snowflake problem. No 360 controller use though. Daemonjax
Out of curiosity, why upgrade from 7 to 10? Is it just an early-adopter kind of thing?
