FNV4GB Issue - No Clue!

After years of dreaming of modding Fallout:New Vegas, I finally got a gaming laptop and I've been following Gopher's vids to help me out. I've installed hud mods and texture packs so far but once I tried to install Game Companion (which lets you quick exit the game and play in a fake window mode), I get this error when starting from 4GB:

I've removed Game Companion but I still get that issue, even when putting the game back into none-windowed mode. I made the changes last night and can't remember if I made any other changes, I checked the mod instructions and looked at everything. I just can't find the issue now. I suppose I should be posting this in the mod thread instead of the forum but I want a quick answer for something that seems quite simple. Any help would be greatly appreciated, seriously. :)

Can't be sure, but it sounds like a permissions issue. Make sure that all of your FNV are not "read only" and that includes the .ini files in your Documents>my Games>FalloutNV folder.

 

Also, Game Companion is now considered a poor choice for fake fullscreen mode. Try OneTweak by Virusek, instead. It's available on the FNV Nexus.

My Games folder for FNV was in read-only so I changed that - still didn't worked. Replaced 4GB files and that worked.

Thanks for OneTweak! Game Companion screwed me over and OneTweak isn't an exe. (so I wasn't worried about running something) and it's easy to install AND works. Thanks for the quick reply and help, I really appreciate it. :)
