onson Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 I made a small mod when I started playing the game that just tweaked a few things here and there, mostly more ammo for a particular gun, more powerful this and that, nothing fancy at all. However I have changed something in my mod that is causing the game to crash. The last things I remember changing was placing a couple of items in a safehouse, a locker ,fridge etc. Now the game will crash if my mod is active and I try to load my game. I went back and took out the things I had placed but it didnt help. My question is how do you determine why the mod is making it crash( deactivate mod and game loads normally). Is there some sort of error report that is generated that would help me?
blove Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 You can select it in FOMM and in the bottom left pane see what masters it has. Maybe you had another plugin loaded in GECK when you saved it and do not have the same plugin in your Data directory now.

onson Posted March 9, 2011 Author Posted March 9, 2011 Starting to think my ESP is corrupt. Anyone know a way to confirm?
davidlallen Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 I recommend you install fnvedit and its excellent training manual. Using fnvedit, you can view any information about the esp file and delete things which may be causing problems.
onson Posted March 10, 2011 Author Posted March 10, 2011 I check that out for sure thanks. My ESP was faulty or something because I loaded an older back up and everything is fine. I would like to pinpoint the cause though
