VGI
In the game, I've been forced to walk more, thanks to Realistic Fatigue and Realistic Health mods. Makes TES4 more realistic, very immersive. I found it quite...unrealistic when you are carrying about 1 point away from being encumbered, and you still manage to run here and there, up or downhill, without getting tired. But now my blunt, hand-to-hand, and blunt skills increase once in a while when I'm walking. Do these skills go up because of some attribute related to walking, running, and fatigue? ElricOfGrans
Read the manuals for Realistic Health and Realistic Fatigue. Acting under certain conditions raises the skills related to certain skills (eg moving when heavily encumbered raises strength skills). It is fairly detailed on the specifics, so just read the manuals. I am not sure whether or not this is configurable (because I have never wanted to touch it), but I would not be surprised if it is. In my experience, you only really notice this at low levels; before long, the middling experience gains you get from this are unnoticeable. I did read the Realistic Health and Realistic Fatigue mod docus. But I wanted to make sure, hence I posted. The docus did made me suspicious that it is as you say it is. And since you did confirm what I thought, then I guess that's all there is to that. In anycase, I don't think I mind this little bit of indirect skill increases. Cuz, in real life, your "hand-to-hand" skills would get better indeed if you have better upper body strength. And you will, in real life, get better upper body strength, if you go about your day pushing your "encumberance" to the limit, as I am doing in the game.
