TES4LODGen and arstatue01

Please forgive me guys if this is not the right place for this but it didnt seem like trouble shooting a mod...

I recently discovered TES4LODGen and with it the fact that apparently people need LOD files for things (I know very little about many aspects of Oblivion) and for the most part was pleased as it largely made good on what it promised to do...with one exception. arstatue01...the statue seen outside of many of the ruins that looks like a guy getting attacked by a bird. For some reason when I generate the DLOD files using TES4LODgen this one statue will appear black at a distance wherever it shows up but everything else seems fine....such as Frostcraig from the Imperial Sewer exit.

I figured fine....generate DLOD files through the CS as I figured out was also possible but it makes very little viewable at a distant. Any ideas? Any resources to get the clueless on the path to being clued in?

As far as I know, arstatue01 doesn't have a "far" mesh by default. It will need a "far" mesh to be visible when distant and if it is missing it won't be seen until the cell loads (so I'm a bit perplexed as to why it appears black).

A quick and dirty way to make a far mesh is to make a copy of the original and rename it to arstatue01_far.nif. A little better would be to open it up in nifskope and remove the collision block and any blocks that you won't need to see from a distance. For best performance, a low poly version can be made in Blender/3DSMax.

If it were a video card issue I do not think it would be the one specific thing but yes...I tried it with Bloom and HDR off and the statue still appeared black in the distance. Deleting the DLOD files corrects the issue as far as making very little viewable in the distance. The statue for example as well as Frostcraig not being viewable from the IC Sewer exit. Wen I try to generate these same files through the CS instead of TES4LODGen it vanishes entirely until I am close to it.
