sundove
So I decided to have another go at FO3 while modding this to my liking. I recently had modded FNV heavily (over 100 mods) without any problems playing and so I am very knowledgeable in the area of modding although would not consider myself an expert by any means. I am CTD at least 2-3 times an hour and is really frustrating because I had spent the last 3 days trying to make this game as smoothly playable as possible. After following all of the instructions from the Ultimate Setup Guide ( Benwah ) to online videos from multiple authors on installing each mod correctly as well as following the modders instructions on the Nexus sight, I continue to crash randomly with no real hint at what is causing this. All I can think of is something I have overlooked in my load order??? Wisdom, friendliness & experience are much appreciated here. :) Here is my current load order (everything has been cleaned in FO3edit): Fallout3.esm Anchorage.esm ThePitt.esm StreetLights.esm BrokenSteel.esm PointLookout.esm Zeta.esm Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch.esm CRAFT.esm CALIBR.esm Project Beauty.esm FCOMaster.esm aHUD.esm iHUD.esm DCInteriors_ComboEdition.esm EVE.esm AWorldOfPainFO3.esm Vault 101 Revisited.esm RH_IRONSIGHTS.esm FO3 Wanderers Edition - Main File.esm FO3 Wanderers Edition - Alternate Travel.esp Mart's Mutant Mod.esm Enhanced Weather - Rain and Snow.esm DarNifiedUIF3.esp Project Beauty- Broken Steel.esp Project Beauty- Point Lookout.esp CASM.esp OldWorldSecretsV1.2.esp GNR Enhanced.esp MaxLevelWorkaround-HP-BS.esp UPP - Pack 1.esp Tenpenny Tower true peace.esp RandomEncounters.esp BusworldV1.05d.esp UndergroundHideout.esp Treasure Maps_Secrets of the Wasteland.esp Treasure Maps_A Fist Full of Caps.esp MoreMapMarkers.esp Busworld and DCInteriors compatibility.esp AchievementsPC.esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - Main File.esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Broken Steel.esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Point Lookout.esp Mart's Mutant Mod - DC Interiors.esp Mart's Mutant Mod - Project Beauty.esp RH_FWE_Bridge.esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - Followers Enhanced (BrokenSteel).esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Anchorage.esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC The Pitt.esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Mothership Zeta.esp RH_EVE_Bridge.esp Realistic Interior Lighting.esp Fellout-Full.esp Fellout-Zeta.esp Fellout-PointLookout.esp Fellout-pipboylight.esp Fellout-BrokenSteel.esp Fellout-Anchorage.esp megalight.esp Enhanced Weather - Rain and Snow in Fallout.esp Enhanced Weather - REBOOT.esp Enhanced Weather - Sneak Bonus during Storms.esp Enhanced Weather - Weather Sounds in Interiors.esp Blackened FWE + MMM + EVE + Project Beauty.esp merged patch.esp On a side note, all mods have had compatibilty patches including the paradox ignition mergers to the corresponding mods. Purr4me
RH_IRONSIGHTS.esm FO3 Wanderers Edition - Main File.esm FO3 Wanderers Edition - Alternate Travel.esp Mart's Mutant Mod.esm Enhanced Weather - Rain and Snow.esm Fellout-Full.esp Fellout-Zeta.esp Loads last in it's group Fellout-PointLookout.esp Fellout-pipboylight.esp Fellout-BrokenSteel.esp Fellout-Anchorage.esp And last: Enhanced Weather - Rain and Snow in Fallout.esp Enhanced Weather - REBOOT.esp Enhanced Weather - Sneak Bonus during Storms.esp Enhanced Weather - Weather Sounds in Interiors.esp all these groups are out of order .the sort program is wrong. Other than external reason for theCTD's taking place, textures and mesh files, the header information in these files are in conflict with the whole game. M48A5
RH_FWE_Bridge must load after the last FWE plugin. FWE-Alternate Travel is fine where you have it. It has an .esm header with an .esp file extension. Just leave it where it is. You need to return to the FO3 Wanderer's Edition mod page and read the load order the author has kindly supplied. "(everything has been cleaned in FO3edit):" You should not clean compatibility patches.  Actually, I am not a big fan of cleaning with FO3Edit. I have over 100 files in my load order, with a stable game, and none of them have been cleaned.

inahut
M48A5, thank you for sharing you observation about "not" cleaning combatability patches, and stating "I am not a big fan of cleaning with FO3Edit. I have over 100 files in my load order, with a stable game, and none of them have been cleaned." I am not certain what you say is correct but it appears to be. When one seeks out answers as to why a game crashes at time, mine crashes as frequently as every 2-3 hours or as little as never in a 5-6 hour gaming session. If it occurs twice in less than that time then I may start to search for a reason, or some way to refine my load and load order and the integration of all of files that are loaded in my mod order.I wonder also about the use of a master update using FO3edit, which you do not mention. I have never yet done this but would like to know it you recommend.
M48A5
With some mods, a master update might help. It is usually recommended for mods when there is a problem with added NPCs. This would be where there is a mismatch between the head and body textures. I have never done a master update, so I don't want to comment either way.
