megageeklizzy
They don't look like they belong in the same world as the adults. They look stylized. They also have the default child bodies, which are blocky, and they don't have any weight slider support. That could depend on the player's setup of adult NPCs, I think. Perhaps the way they've modded their character and other adults to be less like the vanilla style could mean RS Children kids look aesthetically closer to them. Personally, I'd like to stick to RS Children too because I'm partial to its cute kids. This probably means I'll have to learn how to patch other mods with it though. Are you guys thinking of changing the weights of the kids ingame for diversity too? I have both the child body and clothes assets made to support different weights, but forgot to edit the child NPCs to actually have different weights. It will be included in the next version, whenever I publish it.
ToppDog
I wasn't able to view the updated version ingame as it crashed on game start-up, but I did try & view the various meshes etc. in nifscope, & it looks like you have done a lot so far. What bothers me about RS children is the necks are too skinny & the faces still end up all looking the same. My mod adds an additional 78 children to the game, so it's very noticeable if they have the same face when 20 - 30 of them are all walking around at the same time. Other than that RS children is a pretty darn good mod.

If that doesn't fix it, I probably screwed something up while converting it back from Blender. I had it running in my game though, so I don't know how that would make it crash for you. Make sure you completely overwrite the old version's files if you had it. Maybe try deactivating other mods to see if it is a conflict. I'll try to hurry with the new version, but I think it is a problem with your game and might persist even with my new versions.
ToppDog
Possibly, I installed it manually by merging the 2nd "data" folder & all the contents. There wasn't anything to overwrite, so everything seemed okay to me.
TheBxushis
If all the good points done by these mods (Skyrim Child Overhaul WIP + Xvision Children + Rs children) being combined in one mod = perfection
megageeklizzy
I will be including my children in the character overhaul I am working on. It shouldn't be more than a couple of weeks before I release it, but I will quite possibly keep adding stuff and not release it for months. We'll see. TheBxushis
Would any of you more experienced modders be interested in working on a group project to help create the ultimate child overhaul mod to date? The heads still look a bit potato-ish. I realize he was trying to stay close to vanilla, but I think maybe this can still be accomplished by substituting famale heads for each race, as boys haven't reached puberty yet & should still have soft features. This should allow for even more variety since many won't look like they have the same cheeks, etc.Does this sound feasible? What would you add or change? In that aspect, i guess it would be yes and no, while i agree, that making the Children looking like a shamppo comercial is bad, i do believe that stetic is kinda necessary, mainly for people who seek realism and stetic. I for exemple, have reached what i believe being the best look for adult without looking like anime, but as human.: XCE+DCE+EEO+Best textures+(other non overrated stetic mods)http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2015/35/1440371048-screenshot58.jpghttp://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2015/35/1440371071-screenshot35.jpghttp://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2015/35/1440370837-screenshot17.pnghttp://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2015/35/1440371030-screenshot10.jpghttp://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2015/35/1440370879-screenshot11.pnghttp://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2015/35/1440370828-screenshot19.png if anyone could make the kids looks like a medium between Xvision Children + Rs children as a optional for people who seek stetic without felling to much out of nowhere, it wouldn't make any warm. ToppDog
I think that is what megageeklizzy is trying to do in a way. Using the adult female heads allows for better aesthetics, a wide variety of different appearances, the ability to use the CK to easily edit & create new child NPCs, and easily change hairstyles. I haven't been able to test how the bodies work in-game yet, but the screenshots of what the faces might look like are very promising so far.
