Trueblue1878
Hi guys.. I was playing through Hinterlands, and came across Ritts from the quest strange bedfellows.. but she spawned with 1hp and instantly died. I thought this must have been scripted to happen that way but when completing the quest I decided to wiki search it and found out it was a glitch and I could have saved her and got her to join up. But by that time.. my autosaves were taken too recently to go back. So I am wondering, if there is a mod or save editor or anything to either re-do the quest and save her.. or just add her straight into the inquisition. Otherwise I have to abandon hours of play and restart. :( Many thanks,
Maelora
This is a known bug. I'm, not sure there's any way around it. Except reloading. :( Personally, I make dozens of saves and check everything on the DA Wikia. There's just too much you can miss.
Trueblue1878
Well that sucks! Thanks for your reply. Is there a list of stuff that tells you what you can miss? I don't want to follow a walkthrough.. just want a heads up about stuff like missing out on agents. Is it just agents that you can miss or companions too? Anything else? Cheers This is a known bug. Thandal
Any list of "stuff you might miss" would exactly equal a list of "a total walk-through". There is simply too much that's possible in DAI to be able to describe it any other way. The very things that you might believe were obvious, someone else might have thought were so obscure as to be arcana. Have you ever paid attention to the roster of quests that get closed-out when you finish a "chapter"? Those are all the things you might have done, but didn't, before the game moves you along to the next phase. (If anyone knows what "Passing Notes" refers to, I'd appreciate being enlightened.) Passing Notes is a super-easy fetch that gets you a Lyrium Potion recipe from Adan. Edited August 11, 2015 by theskymoves
Thandal
@tsm; Ahhh... I did that one, and so I wonder why it appeared in the scrolling list of ones being closed-out after Haven. Maybe that list is, in fact, only the "completed" ones? Or maybe things got wonky in that playthrough. I had to fight the Battle of Haven twice, since I thought I'd finally rescued Adan for once, only to be informed in Skyhold that I hadn't (again!) Trueblue1878
Haven't completed DAI but think you're exaggerating a tad.. I don't mean is there a list of every tiny thing you can miss like a loot chest or a funny dialogue choice. I just mean significant things like missing an agent, or a companion, or a special reward etc that are often missed by people because of bad design or programming like the Ritts issue. Who wants to follow a walkthrough on their first play?? I am very thorough in every game I play. I explore every corner.. but things like Ritts spawning with 1hp is something nobody can predict or prepare for without constantly saving every 10 minutes and then 2nd guessing themselves and searching google after.. ugh.. it breaks immersion so much. I wish quicksave created a new save each time rather than updating the previous one. That would help a lot.. Or just general advice about which things are easy to miss.. so I can wiki search it before I do them. Like from now on I am keeping a list of potential agents nearby when I play! Is there anything else like that I should keep an eye on? So just general pointers about what to look out for like now I know about agents and didn't before.. Is there anything else significant like that I can lose out on? PS actually is there a command for creating a new full save? I can bind it to a macro key.. that would help a lot.
