I never ran any interior design tutorials so I can't help with those.

If you wan't to create new skins/color schemes for items or other stuff you will need to download Nifskope. I have not used this myself either so I can give you no further advice there.

I can give you loads of advice on how to create interiors as I made AWOP.

The way I started (back on an unreleased FO3 project) was to duplicate existing interiors by using that option after right clicking on a specific area in the Cell View window. It is much easier then to delete unwanted stuff, check the names of wanted stuff for future reference and see which blocks fit where and why (very important with caves which have blocks that need to be arranged in a very specific manner to avoid gaps).

If you do wan't to start a new location from scratch duplicate a similar existing cell again (for background ambience settings) and delete everything that is there (make sure you have loaded your own Copied interior in the Render Window and not the original).

Place your first block at 0 on all axis (double click on the block, go to 3D data and manually enter the numbers). You can then work out all following blocks axis mathematically (they are sized in muliples of 8, for example, 128, 256, 512, etc) Most blocks are 256 on all axis (apart from vertically where a few such as Offiices (Off) and Factories (Fac) are 288).

To get the correct piece you need you have to find the appropriate menu in the object window.

Here's a list of some of the most important menus:

Static: Houses all the interior and exterior building kits and all static (i.e. Non movable/destructable/animated) objects (rugs, shelves, light fixtures etc...). This is the biggest sub-menu by far..

Movable Static: Objects that can be moved in game such as skeletons or crates. Also includes some objects that will blow up and move such as cars.

Activator: If you can drink out of it, fix it, set it off or blow it up then chances are it's in here.

Most of the other menu options in the object window (Armor, containers, NPCs etc) are fairly self-explanatory.

Room kits:

If you wan't to build a room quick but don't know the names for the pieces in GECK here's a few common room types (just look around the listed blocks in the menu for similar pieces):

Office: OffRmWall01 = standard office room wall, OffHallSm1Way01 = standard offiice hallway.

Sewers/Maintenace Tunnels: UtlHallBg1Way01 = Big sewer tunnel block, UtlRmWall01 = standard Utility room wall piece.

Enclave/BOS Bunker: EcvRmSmWall01 = stanadrd Enclave wall piece.

Here's a few options for a Bunker:

NVNellisHangarInteriorCenter = part of a huge Nellis Hangar.

IndRmBgWallSide01 = part of a big 'Industrial' room.

Also if you have AWOP and can find the Infested NCR Bunker then you are free to copy the interior and use that. You can copy interiors from one mod to another but when you paste it into a new blank window it will all end up on whatever axis it lands (may be a very odd number) and this can make adding new blocks to that interior very difficult.

For example checkout the axis on any of the Hidden Valley Bunkers, it's mad. I copied one of these without noticing for the NCR Bunker and had to reset all the blocks to serve my puposes.

You can copy existing clutter or objects from areas and paste them into your own by using Cnrl & left click to highlight objects, Cnrl & C to copy (sometimes you have to do this twice) and Cnrl & V to paste. You can reposition the object(s) using the mouse (right click will spin the object(s) around) You then press 'F' to make the objects fall to the floor or on to the next highest platform, shelf, box etc....

That should get you started. If you need any more info just giveme a shout. You can PM me if you like.
