Abramul
I've recently begun to hit problems with items disappearing from a container (the one in which I keep all my [generic] armor, weapons, and clothing). The first time, it was steel weapons, which I didn't make much effort to recover. Then, it was an enchanted shield I had accidentally placed in the container, so I loaded my last quicksave. A while later, after having transfered all my stolen items to a different container, (and after several in-game days, probably), the steel weapons showed up again, and I accidentally placed the Ebony Blade in and IT disappeared (by this time, I was a bit paranoid about using the container, so I just reloaded a quicksave from immediately before). My question is this: Why has the Com... I mean, is there a limit to how many items a container can hold, or display? Is there any chance of an item permanently disappearing? Guest Tessera
The only thing I know about containers is that some of them re-spawn and lose whatever was inside them at regular intervals and others will hold things permanently. I'm not sure about limits on the number of items, though. No clue here. :(
Mercbird
Containers in the construction set does have an encumbrance value. Looks something like this '-7.00/0.00'. Though I dont know (read haven't bothered figuring it out) how the maths work, I kinda trial and error till I get a big enough box. If you change the weight, in this case to 9 the it looks something like '-7.00/9.00' I still dont bother with the maths. The Morrowind CS seemed much clearer or simpler regarding the size of the interior of a container, and in which dimension it resides. I've always found it weird though that I can stuff my entire set of rusty steel armour into a small sack on the shelf, so I dont think these values are very realistic. And yes some containers respawns prolly the only way to keep feeding every one in the Imperial city hehehe.
Abramul
Neglected to mention that I only noticed this after I started repairing stuff to 125%. My clothes, books/alchemy, and junk/valueless stolen junk containers all have more items (or at least, in the case of clothes, more items showing). This is also affecting my armor container, and when I'm carrying lots of armor/weapons, my inventory. Items do show up again as I remove other items. My playing time is over 200 hours. Could this be related to that bug? (What exactly did that one cause?)
Povuholo
My playing time is over 200 hours. Could this be related to that bug? (What exactly did that one cause?)I think that one made animations from fires and certain 3D effects slower. But it probably causes more bugs. edit: From the unofficial patch page, in the section of bugs that can't be fixed.Bug: Disappearing items from containers/inventory, caused by repairing items over 100% and over loading the container with items.Solution: Just remove the items from the container, close and re-open it and some items should re-appear.So it was the repairing.
