Silencing PLAYER shouts

HI there all,

Been trying to find a mod that will silence or at least greatly reduce the volume of PLAYER character shouts. I realise that a lot of people will think I'm mad to want to take away a quintessential part of the game but I have a psychotic neighbour upstairs from me who throws a tantrum any time he hears me making any noise ( I do own headphones, but I really dislike wearing them and I find the PC shouts ear-splitting on them). I have modded my Skyrim sounds right down so all that's left is the natural ambient sounds but whenever I need to use a shout my neighbour starts battering on the ceiling. I am getting fed up of fiddling with the volume every time this happens. If I set my volume so I can just about hear the shout, the rest of the game is silent.

If someone has already made such a mod could you be so kind as to point me to it, else can someone save my sanity (and ability to keep playing skyrim) by either making such a mod, or showing me how to silence my PC's shouts... I'd be eternally grateful!

Thanks guys!

I would if I owned the place, unfortunately it's a tiled bedsit with really high ceilings. I have downloaded cSharp by puresound and turned off all bass, put blankets under my speakers, stopped watching any TV or having friends over but it's still like living in a boom box. As I say nothing in my Skyrim bar the PC shouts makes any noise. But you may be right, I think if the landlord was willing to spend a small amount of money the problem would be solved. However that does not mitigate my neighbours mental health problems. I am sitting in silence here and he is still screaming and banging on my ceiling... I seriously hope he doesn't kill me. I really think I have to move...

That being said I still would like to be able to get rid of the awfully loud PC shouts wherever I end up, maybe I've just had enough of loud noises spoiling my peace.... and gaming!

actually you may be able to get away with some tricks. try finding some sorta box or shelf that can be place around your sound system or your screen and sound system as a whole and attach foam to the inside of it, this should reduce the overall noise level a bit and direct the sound towards you. though you're gonna want some over hang, a few inches past the fronts of the speakers at least. also indented foam will do better then flat foam. depending on where you live and how thrifty you are, you shouldnt be spending more then a hundred bucks. i did it for a buddy with thirty four dollars so it really shouldnt hurt your finances.

Thank you sir, I will certainly look into it, any remedial would be better to where I am now. Thanks for your advice, nice to know some people look out for one another. I'll keep you posted on what happens. PS If he does come down and kill me please feel free to say what went on online. I know americans think that us brits lead a charmed life but believe me , accents aside , we have just as many nutters here! And this is Devon! I moved here for the lovely country life after fleeing from london. What is one to do?!

Lol thanks again, but also if anyone has any Ideas on sopping my shouty PC lemme know!

Lol even us Britishers know better, Starbucks - shudders. Nothing to do with coffee. Lived in France and Germany -they know how to make coffee lol. Where in the world is left to drink decent coffee and play skyrim at full volume... Can anyone make a mod for that?! :-)
