LE Simple Long-sleeved Undershirt

I'd like to request a long-sleeved undershirt mod that can be worn under armours with the least amount of clipping. Equippable please, as RaceMenu overlays can be rather annoying to turn on and off.

 

I'd also like it to have some dimension and clothing folds (perhaps closer to the equippable grey sleeves that come from zzjay's wardrobe -- the 8th picture in the first page of the gallery), as well as some different colour options, preferrably in neutral colours like white, black, grey, brown, tan and/or olive green.

 

I've been looking for something like this for a very long time, and I thought it was time to put up a request for it. I already have a kind of equippable bodysuit mod with chainmail and sheer hosiery options, but there are things about it I didn't like (wrong neckline, lack of dimension, not enough options). I'd be really grateful to anyone willing to take this on.

If I make a model and textures, can you use them to make the mod from the equippable bodysuit mod you are using? I don't know much about the Creation Kit, but I think I could make the assets by cannibalizing vanilla assets. If you can, just reply here or PM me and tell me your preferred styles.

I think the easiest way to do this would be to have a fairly high textured undershirt that came in various colors (that you could choose in a NMM menu) that would replace (or add) to your underwear slot. So instead of a loin cloth for male you'll have a loin cloth and shirt. For females you'd be in your panties and shirt. This is the only way I could think of having 0 clipping issues but even with this there may have to be some patches made with the body mods.

That's just my input, be interesting to see this mod happen and (or) how it will.

I barely know anything about Creation Kit apart from changing slots for some accessories (and even then I'm afraid my knowledge is still limited), but I will try to see if I can learn enough to help out.

 

I'm hoping it can be on another layer slot other than armor, kinda like how people were able to do it with pants in other armour mods. I'd like to get some weight-slider support for it too.

You're kidding, right? There's a freakin' animated prostitution mod on Nexus. I don't think they mind slutty looking girls with watermelons for breast implants. Your knowledge of changing armor slots will actually probably be helpful here, as we will need to make the shirt use a different slot than normal armor.

 

Before I start modelling, I need to ask...do you want JUST a shirt...meaning no underwear? Or did you want underwear? ...or did you want shorts? ...or long pants?

@ megageeklizzy: Sometimes I forget that mod is on the Nexus. I just remember that LL is banned here for some weird reason, so try to keep things as wholesome as I can just on the safe side. :tongue:

 

I've run into some trouble before with changing slots for items before, most notably with items that used to be in the armor slot. It ends up just clipping through the body and not confirming to the body as it supposed to do. :\ I'll have to figure out how to do it correctly first, I suppose.

 

I think a shirt is okay at the moment, but if you think expanding the mod could be advantageous to a lot of people who are looking for things to layer with other armours then you could also go on to do that. I'm currently using Petrovich's Pantyhose mod and the pants from his Simply Clothes mod for covering things like upper thighs and such. Speaking of which, the latter mod is pretty close to what I had envisioned the undershirt mod to be. You could probably base your work on that mod if you'd like, as his assets seem to be free to use. (If only I can isolate the tank top in that mod as an undershirt layer, urgh.)

 

Could you also base it off of the UNP body? It's the one I currently use.

 

 

@ Sevlucent: I'd really like it to be something you can put on so you're not stuck with wearing an undershirt if you don't want to. Besides, I think armor that uses up the body slot already has the body mesh attached to it. The undershirt wouldn't show up from underneath as it's not part of the armour mesh in the first place.

So...you want the tank top from that mod? I thought you wanted a long-sleeve shirt... I can make it so that you wear the shirt and whatever underwear are attached to the body at the same time, but I have to make sure I know exactly what body you are using to prevent clipping. You use just the normal UNP (not slim or Blessed or anything else)? What male body do you use? I highly suggest getting Better Males if you don't already have it. I personally can't live without it now just because of the feet. There is a SFW version, and I also plan to do a huge body overhaul at some point that will make use of its assets, since they are free to use.

I was thinking more in the style of, and maybe you can base the torso of the shirt on the tanktop and extend the sleeves from there. Although, if we're going for across the board compatibility, maybe using the tank top could lead to some clipping underneath the breast area for those using it under armours that is really tight-fitting. It's still your call on whether or not you want do use it. And yeah, I was merely sharing my frustration on how I can't seem to isolate it for personal use. Sorry about that!

 

I use vanilla male bodies with Better Male Feet, which is probably why it doesn't bother me that much. Most male armours are based off of vanilla bodies anyway from that I can see, so it may be better to go for that. I haven't seen any male armor replacers based off of the Better Males meshes apart from skimpy ones, I doubt people using those replacers would want undershirts to be used underneath them. Maybe you can do both? (Do you use the FavoredSoul meshes or the Sundracon one?)

 

Yes, I do use the normal UNP body, but only on my character. Do you think it be okay to also make a version on the vanilla body? I might be able to use it on followers I have that I kept in vanilla bodies because I wanted them to look bulkier than my character.

I use Sundracon, but I can get the original male meshes from the bsa to use for conversions. Better Males actually comes with a full set of converted armors that are not skimpy, though, just so you know. I can definitely make it for both vanilla and UNP, but you'll have to place the files yourself, as I have no idea what setup you are using to have a separate body for your PC.

 

I can probably pretty easily separate the tank top for you if you want it for personal use, but I'll probably end up using a vanilla outfit to make a long-sleeve shirt. Anyway, sorry about the confusion. I have enough information to get started now, so I should be uploading something within a couple of days.
