24602
Hello, Sorry in advance if this is in the wrong section. I've been playing around and testing mods on my only character [smart]. So far I love like 80 percent of what I download but sometimes things just get too unbalanced for me and I have to uninstall mods [typical right?] well anyway one of the mods I installed gave me a 40 percent permanent boost to magicka that refuses to leave. I even used the console to set my magicka to what its supposed to be and the 40 percent is still there; Example) I set my INT to 10 then my magicka to 0 and I end up with 28 magicka, same thing happens if I set my magicka to 20 and my INT to 0, so I know its something thats giving me 40 percent total magicka and not an INT modifier like supreme magicka. Also I tested this after removing all my items. If I load my earliest save, back when I was lv 1, my values are what they are supposed to be, telling me that it was a mod that is no longer present that is causing the stupid increase. It was most likely Legendary Mastery that did this and I don't know how to get rid of it. the 40 percent extra is gamebreakingly huge for me and takes away from other things I want to hunt down [like whats the point?]. I would seriously rather start over [just typing it makes me cringe] than continue with this, any suggestions? help very much appreciated.
Telyn
If you haven't already tried this, rebuild your bashed patch.
24602
If you haven't already tried this, rebuild your bashed patch. I don't have wrye bash, and I'd rather not install it just for this. Thanks a lot though. Any other suggestions?? Hickory
It's most likely a spell/ability that's been added, in which case a Bashed Patch won't cure this. What effects are active when you press the F3 (Spells) key and go to the last tab? Also, what boosts (if any) are shown, such as MagickaMultiplier, if you use the console: sdt 9tdt

Magickamultiplier 14.0 to 10.0. How do I get it back to default? Thanks sooo much. I had already started playing from 30 SAVES BACK to avoid this, just to show how serious I was about not playing like this. Just to clarify: when I do player.setav magickamultiplier <N> the first number is always 4 higher than the second number. Example) player.setav magickamultiplier 0 = magickamultiplier 4.0/0 Example) player.setav magickamultiplier 4 = magickamultiplier 8.0/4 I googled and searched but I don't know how to get it back to the regular 10.0 /10 =[ Edited March 15, 2011 by 24602

As a percentage this equates to each number being a 10% step, so a multiplier of 1 is a 10% boost, 2 is 20% etc. To remove the changes, in the console type: player.setav magickamultiplier 0 Simple. So it is showing BOOST/BASE. The boost of 4 is probably because of a race or birthsign ability.

I ended up fixing my problem by using Player.forceav instead of Player.setav. I really wouldn't have get this far without your help so thanks a lot! There was so much crap I didn't wanna do again, I can go back to enjoying my game!!
