Ceiling Turrets

okay, so pretty much, I've got a ceiling turret covering the entrance to a vault. there's a standard default turret control terminal on a table nearby. linked to it.

the ceiling turret works fine. the problem is that I can't persuade it to be friendly. I want it to be friendly unless I make an enemy out of the overall faction of the vault's inhabitants. or if I switch the terminal to remove the "target data".

 

any suggestions?

I've set the faction of the turret to the vault faction (which has the playerfaction as a Friend), I've tried adding the turret to the player faction, I've set the ownership to the vault faction, I've also tried making it player-owned...nothing works. its just hostile permanently.

its driving me insane slowly...

Try changing AI Data to be less aggressive. Make sure it doesn't have a Vanilla script that forces it to attack player.
