coffeemenow
OK, that didn't go well. I uninstalled per bben46: http://www.tesnexus....icle.php?id=240And reinstalled only Oblivion, O-patch, and U-patch.Game ran well and maps worked. When I went to install BOSS and OMM, they showed all the old mods as installed and active, but the weren't in the data folders.I eventually went to a very early sys restore point and spent the morning reinstalling Windows and Norton updates. NOW back to install Oblivion and the patches per http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/How_to_install_Oblivion_with_patches .
Striker879
Just so you know (and I believe it may now be a moot point judging from your latest post) Oblivion Mod Manager (OBMM) stores your OMODs in Oblivion\obmm\mods, which is outside the Data folder (Oblivion\Data\). If you followed bben46's guide the obmm\mods folder should have been deleted (not sure on BOSS ... no experience using it here).

Telyn
Great! Glad to hear it! When you start putting in more, it's a good idea to only put a couple in at a time and check the game. That way if something goes wrong it's much easier to know what. I am thinking your first reinstall just wasn't clean.
