eric31415
If you tried all the shader packages already with no result, then it is unlikely that shaders are the issue. I downloaded the Capes and Cloaks mod, it is packaged correctly. If you made an omod from that folder, it should work. Test the other capes and cloaks ingame, maybe only a few have broken textures. As an alternative, you could try the All Capes, Cloaks, Clothes, Gloves and Robes mod. It contains all the items from the mod you are using. I use it, and have found no missing textures yet. ilidan10
well is not only capes mod is an other mod as well for example that add cats :) and... they're all purpple and i really don;t think i missed something while using the mod. the question is could it be my low laptop graphics card ? also i should mention that i run the game under linux but i don;t thing that it has something to do with that. my low graphics card managed to run COD 4 with medium graphics after few adjustments so... i should enable some specific options in settings or so ? eric31415
I also play on a laptop, but mine has no graphics card (intelHD graphics). I can manage pretty smooth framerates, and have no issues w/ undisplayable textures. But I am running Windows. I have heard that Linux can run this game mostly problem free, but that some tweaking is required. Just did a quick google search, betting that your issue is case sensitivity. Windows is not case sensitive, but Linux is. Some mods have a folder called "textures", while others use "Textures". Windows does not care, and will merge the folders anyways, Linux will make a new one that (whatever emulator you use) can not access. The easiest solution seems to be to use only Windows-based tools to unpack and install mods.
ilidan10
yes indeed i have 2 folders named textures and Textures and 2 folders named meshes and Meshes.... i didn;t thought about it.. but there should be a path right ? should i try to merge those folders to see what will happen ? Edit: Solved mates !! the sky is no longer purple the capes look as they should and theim cats are so cute right now :) i copy all the textures from the "Textures" folder to "textures" one and from the folder "Meshes" to "meshes" and now everything works. i hope that if any other linux user encounters this problem this topic will help him out to fix it. Surilindur
Now that was... odd. I use Windows myself and would never have thought about that. Good to hear it was solved. :)
ilidan10
by the way i encountered an other .omod error while trying to install a mod it sounds like "An error occured while activating the mod. It may not have been activated completely. Error: An exception was thrown by the type initializer for Mono.CSharp.CSharpCodeCompiler" i am sure is easy to fix this cause a lot of people uses " DarNified UI " mod and about this can you tell me anything ? :D
Surilindur
I have no idea, really. I use OBMM with Windows and it works. Does it throw that error on every .omod or just DarNified UI? If it is only DarNified UI, it should be fixable. I do not use it myself, though, as I have the DarkUId DarN and have basically installed it manually (because I have Mod Organizer). DarN! :P Installing it manually should not be too complicated if just that one .omod is causing issues. The .omod makes changes to your Oblivion.ini, if I recall correctly, to change the fonts and local map shaders. Could that cause issues? I can see how it is packed later today if you want to install it manually. In case you do not manage to fix the issue. If if throws that error only with DarN UI, maybe it could be related to INI changes? Or Linux again, in which case I do not know how to fix it, unless the .omod file has some case-sensitive paths in it. And in that case I would be clueless, too, without eric31415... :) Edit: I mean the program works for me. I have not installed the DarN .omod for a veeeeery long time, so I do not know if it works. ilidan10
um.. is not that DarN mod it is one few more mods like "Ulrims Horses" as well for example. well i don;t know to "manual" install it as long as it is an .omod is somewhere as folders + .esp ? Surilindur
OBMM should be able to unpack the .omod file for you. There should be an option somewhere in the program to do it. Then it will be normal folders and .esp and such. Edit: I mean unpack without installing. Just extract the .omod archive. "code compiler" well i know a bit of programming and CSharp is a programming language but lol i installed vcrun 2008 and 2010 so... ???
