cyns Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 need a lil help here. i've modded badly in th past and have restarted twice, but haven't done a clean reinstall. i now have armor that i can craft, but there is no preview image or a default clothing image is used. the majority of missing images have fx117 in th name, but i don't remember what mods i was using when i installed th armor and it worked properly.th majority of mods used were from a huge second-hand collection that i've long since deleted, but all armor installed worked at one time other than (groan...) starting all over again with a totally clean reinstall, what can i do or what should i alter to either get this working again or deleting the corrupted files?any serious feedback is welcome

I have a couple armor mods where the preview either doesn't work or is a generic clothing item, but it shows up fine when I actually equip it. A couple things to try: first, go into the console and type 'help fx117' and see if anything pops up. If so, make a note of the id#s; the first two digits will tell you where in your load order the mod is located. Keep in mind you may have to play with that to get any result, i.e; 'help "fx 117"' or 'help fx', etc. If nothing comes up, you may have to do a more generic search, using 'cuirass' for a search term for example (or whatever the armor pieces are called), which will likely result in a large number hits that you will have to page through.
