nightmare_pwner
Recently discovering how awesome shaders like SSAO and Godrays are. I wanted to use them. However with the OBGE plugin installed. That was fine, however adding shaders into the mix, than starting either a new game or load game. Right after your in and mods start up, the game crashes. Its not even a CTD its just freeze and you have to Task manger it to terminate the program. Now this only happened AFTER putting in the shader package that comes with OBGE. OBGE plugin itself did not cause a freeze when you started or loaded a game. Could this be a mod related issue? Like because im running something I should not be, or perhaps because the shaders or OBGE itself was not installed properly. Any help regarding this matter would be great. Hickory
The OBGE support plugin will load ALL shaders, so either remove the support plugin and use your shaderlist.txt to load the shaders you require, or remove any troublesome shaders from \Oblivion\Data\Shaders\. Do NOT remover the default Oblivion .sdp shaders. It is the problem OBGE .fx shaders you need to work on.

Ok In all likelihood the game is NOT crashing. A long "freeze" of 30-60 seconds is fairly normal with OBGE. If you wait a while and not task manager out you should unfreeze and then the game will run normally with your shaders. Some of the shaders can take a while for OBGE to load into memory.
