refmon
I know I should clean any mods unless they state not to but I honestly cant remember the rule for official esms. All the new vegas dlcs have tons of dirty and udr records. Do they also have to be active at all?
DirtyWeaselMedia
Cleaning your DLC's is something that is recommended by most complete guides, including mine. There are a number of helpful tutorials out there, both on Youtube and elsewhere. Cleaning individual mods should be done with caution, as some authors require that some dirty edits remain so the mod will work correctly. LOOT can be an excellent tool to help you determine which need cleaning, but be sure to read each mod page fully before cleaning. For instance, take Vurt's Wasteland Flora Overhaul, you can clean the ITMs but not the UDRs.
